Sight Medical Doctors

I went to the emergency room at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island for what was subsequently determined to be a posterior vitreous detachment. Dr. Sabah Shah was the on call ophthalmologist that night. After remotely reviewing the hospital images she instructed the staff to have me come into her office at SightMD Garden City at 8:30 the next morning. Despite what appeared to be a very full schedule, the doctor gave me a full and thorough exam to confirm the PVD diagnosis. Dr Shah explained every step of the examination and patiently answered all my questions. I would also like to compliment the staff at SightMD Garden City. They were all polite and professional. I’m very grateful to Dr. Shah for seeing me so quickly and putting my mind at ease.

SightMD , great entertainment, location and most of all great staff. Arrived at SightMD on a Sunday morning I was impressed with the quality of service on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was helpful answering my questions and efficient service on a short notice. I had an issue with getting the medication from the pharmacy on Sunday, it was delayed but not denied. I rushed back to SightMD the following day, Monday morning. I ask to speak to the manager to resolve the situation. Indeed the manager go above and beyond to assist me and make my treatment possible. Job well done . Great 👍 team effort.

The staff , was quick with paperwork. Not a long wait . Dr. Catherine did a superb job going through each step of procedure and taking her time to explain her findings of test.x-rays. I WOULD DEFINITELY recommend family members and friends . I was very happy with team staff treatment and the care they given me , My son made an appointment for himself as well on my next visit.

On August 5th, I arrived at the facility at 8:58AM for a scheduled 9:05 appointment. I was a bit put off by the sight of 10 to 12 people waiting, as it didn’t seem ideal. However, the gentleman who checked me in was very polite and courteous. Although the wait to see the Dr. He was lengthy, she was very kind, and her assistant Hannah was also knowledgeable and friendly, despite the nearly hour-long wait. At checkout, I felt a bit frustrated, especially when receptionist Gerri seemed preoccupied and less focused on helping me schedule a follow-up appointment. I spent 15 minutes with the doctor, and left at 10:40 AM. I’m leaving 3 stars due to the doctor and her wonderful Assistance. However, the wait and the receptions at checkout was not ideal.

Dr Van valkenburg is a great eye doctor . She knows how I don’t line getting drops or having my eye pressures don’t but she has a lot of patience -when I dud the optic nerve test -she stayed in the room when the tech did the test and explained to me the test findings which were normal
