I am a former patient of several years who is now in the process of searching for another provider because of my most recent experiences. I no longer trust Sight MD to treat my multiple vision issues. Specifically, I arrived for a scheduled appointment on May 14, 2026 to find the office closed. I never received any notice that the appointment had to be rescheduled. (We all know how many reminders we get to KEEP scheduled appointments!) I was told I was contacted, but there was no Voicemail, email, or text message. The office eventually called me to re-schedule my overdue exam (their words) and I arrived on June 30, 2026 only to be informed by the receptionist that I was not eligible for an eye exam until January 2027 (according to the last follow up I had with the cataract surgeon). In the past, six-month exams were scheduled to monitor for any vision change due to macular degeneration. Results were then shared with the retina specialist treating me for that condition (obviously unrelated to cataracts). In hindsight I should have insisted I speak to the doctor to sort out the issue, but the receptionist was adamant that whoever called me from Sight MD to make the appointment was mistaken. She did not consider that I, the patient, was correct in expecting a semi-annual eye exam to monitor for vision changes. I am sorely disappointed and not a little angry at this waste of my time.

Dr. Zara and everyone at SightMD in Hampton Bays were terrific. She not only took care of the ulcer in my eye but it was one of the best and most thorough exams I've ever had. Dr. Zara also updated my prescription and my eyesight is much better now We are very lucky to have them here in Hampton Bays!

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Zachary Davis. I waited a long time to be seen, and the appointment itself lasted only about five minutes. I felt rushed throughout the visit. His communication style made me feel alarmed rather than reassured. He discussed surgery very quickly, and I felt pressured instead of being given the time to understand my options and ask questions. I was hoping for a more compassionate and empathetic approach, especially given how stressful eye issues can be. Everyone’s experience may be different, but I left feeling unheard and without the reassurance or explanation I was looking for. In addition, the staff was extremely rude to people in waiting room and overwhelmed because they over schedule. Sight md is horrible.

Dr. Zara was both thorough and efficient in addressing my dry eye condition. After struggling with this issue for many years, I experienced more improvement after just one visit with Dr. Zara than I ever had before. Her expertise and treatment plan have already made a remarkable difference in a very short time.

Waited over an hour 15 minutes to be seen. Prescriptions were NOT sent to pharmacy. Had to call twice with no result. Was told they were sent BUT they were not. Sight MD then closed at 5 pm. Can not reach the office, only a central service that could not assist. AND, there was another woman at the pharmacy who this was happening to. One of her scrips was also not sent. Sight MD must do better!
