I have been going to Smart Eye care for a few years. Dr Brewer and the staff are absolutely wonderful. I receive my glasses there too. I was also able to get in quickly last year when I had a little corneal abrasion. It’s a great team and very efficient! Answer wuestions thoughtfully. Whike efficient, I dont feel like I am rushed.

Smart Eye are provides excellent, professional services! I went there for an unexpected medical issue 2 months ago. They were able to see me on the same day. Last week was my regular check-up. I again received compassionate, professional care

I've been going to Smart Eye Care for decades. I can't say enough good things about Dr. James Brewer, the technicians who work with him, and the opticians in the eyeglass shop. Dr. Brewer closely monitors my eyes for changes that might affect my vision, shows me year-by-year retinal photos for comparison, and explains in easy-to-understand terms how my eyes are doing. He is extremely personable and I very much look forward to my annual checkup and glaucoma testing. I have the same high regard for the opticians in the eyeglass shop. I was most recently helped by Treona. She very patiently walked me through all the lens options for the frames I selected and navigated through the complexities of my insurance coverage. Most importantly, the practice stands behind their work. If progressive lenses don't work as desired, they will reconfigure the lens specifications and provide a replacement set at no charge. If they determine that the prescription may need some tweaking, they will ask Dr. Brewer to take another look at it, again at no charge. If you need your frames adjusted - or if you sit on them - just stop in and they will adjust them at no charge. There are real benefits from buying your glasses from the same business that takes care of your eyes. If problems arise, you won't run into a situation where the optometrist blames the optician and the optician blames the optometrist. On the rare occasions when problems do arise, Smart Eye Care promptly and cheerfully takes care of them.

I recently purchased a pair of glasses at Smart EyeCare in Farmingdale and have had some trouble with the weight on my nose. After numerous adjustments when I picked them up, I left feeling pretty good about the way they felt. A week later, I had to go back with a sharp feeling on the left side of my nose. I saw Pete who was wonderful, really took the time to speak with me and offered some alternatives to the original adjustments made to my glasses. There was immediate relief, but much to my dismay, I had to go back a week later with a deep red mark on the right side of my nose. Once again, Pete made another adjustment and then spent much time again with me. I really appreciate how much he cares and how much time he has spent with me. I will try this latest adjustment knowing that I can go back again should the need arise. Pete says there is another adjustment he can make and I believe him!
