Sokol Advanced Eyecare serves patients in Madison and the surrounding part of Wisconsin from its office at 2000 Atwood Ave. Both exams and glasses are handled here — exam rooms and an optical shop share the same address. I’ve been twice and I highly recommend Sokol. Dr. Zarwell is very thorough, a trait that’s hard to find these days since everyone is just zooming through things. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The ambiance is nice - I watched Bob Ross painting while waiting! Lastly, they stay on top of cutting edge technology which is really important to me.
I had the best experience at Sokol yesterday. Tori worked with me from start to finish, with exam by Dr Sokol in the middle. Tori was so professional, kind, attentive, and patient. She eased my anxiety completely. Dr Sokol is also the best. She is so knowledgeable, kind, attentive and patient as well. I have been seeing her for several years, and will never go to another optometrist again. She really cares about her patients, and obviously her staff as well. I finished my visit with Tori helping my order new glasses. She again was so helpful, didn’t try to up sell. She was so lovely to work with. The whole experience made my day, well done!!
I went to see Dr. Zarwell for my first full eye exam...maybe ever! Everyone on staff was kind and welcoming, happy to answer all my questions about the neat equipment and tests, and very easy to talk to. I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to ask questions. The office is bright, comfortable, and has tons of great frame options. When picking out my glasses, I was immediately offered a discount and advice about the best/most affordable lenses since I was paying out of pocket! I will 100% be back and highly recommend Sokol to anyone and everyone!
We recently visited Sokol because we wanted a local, close to home. We had the best experience! Doctor Zarwell was incredible with our 11 year old. We felt well taken care of, and learned a lot about Sebastian’s eye health and available options that we’ve never experienced elsewhere.
What a kind staff and smooth eye exam. Dr. Zarwell was so friendly and kind, and he really took the time to talk with us during our exam. I loved their use of a VR headset to conduct the peripheral vision test - it was a really fun twist! Really recommend this place for your eye needs.
