Dr. Perez was lovely! She was super professional, caring and gave me exceptional information about my diagnosis and help to make my choice! This was concerning my hearing aid evaluation. I also had Cataract surgery there a few years ago. My results were not "great" as I expected. After careful care and evaluation it seemed I had immediately developed scar tissue as some patients do. This was removed and my eyes have have been just fine... I really like and respect St. Luke's and staff!

Very friendly thorough personel. Their professional manner and the way you are cared for puts you right at ease. It's amazing how you can 'SEE' after your surgery. Colors so vivid..white is white..not the off white I always saw before. The care you experience after surgery is great. This was a truly great experience..I highly recommend to everyone to go to St. Lukes..
My appt was at 8:10 for which I arrived 10 minutes early to handle paperwork. I was not seen by anyone until 8:59! That is inexcusable. If I were to arrive to my appt 50 minutes late, I am sure I would be told I have to reschedule. Yet, they feel they can disrespect my time by delaying my day due to their lateness. Perhaps they need help with scheduling patients as I heard a few others complaining about the long wait time as well. Why is it dr’s feel as if your time is not as important as theirs? Not the best first impression as I was a new patient (hubby was a prior patient). When I did see the dr and assistants, they were all pleasant enough and informative. Visit went well once I was seen.
They treat you like cattle. Moving you from one room to another. They don't look at you or talk to you. They just say this is what needs to be done and don't explain what they are doing. After cataract surgery, I spent 6 weeks worried something was wrong with my vision and they just keep saying it could get better. Now they tell me it is because of the gel in my eye but did not explain that to me before hand so I would know what to expect after surgery. 4 month later I still can't see clearly and they are telling me it is because of the lens I chose which was covered by my insurance. If I had paid out of pocket for a better lens, I may have got better results. Now the doctor says he got better results then he expected. What about what I expected. I was the one who paid $4,ooo out of pocket and I don't get a say. And know I have to either live with blurry vision the rest of my life or have a second surgery at my cost to replace the lens in my eye. And the best part is no one will do anything to help you. They just keep giving me the run around and wouldn't even go over my scans from my pre-op. I've had a second opinion with a completely different facility, none of this happened and I got much better results.
have seen several doctors at St. Luke’s Laser & Eye Institute and am currently being followed by Dr. Scherer for some potentially serious eye issues. Throughout my care, the experience has consistently been professional, thorough, and reassuring. Dr. Scherer is knowledgeable, takes the time to explain findings and next steps, and inspires confidence. I have also consulted with Dr. Pit Gills regarding cataracts and have undergone laser surgery to relieve eye pressure. I truly believe I received world-class level care. The office is large with plentiful parking and is set on a beautiful campus with an ample waiting room. Appointments are easy to schedule at the location most convenient to you, and everything you need is in one place, including diagnostic testing and surgical facilities. The staff is courteous and efficient, and the practice is very well run. Those of us in the Tampa Bay area are fortunate to have this outstanding resource to help preserve our precious vision.
