Came here because the stupid DMV told me I couldn't see well enough to renew my license. I was NOT looking forward to the possibility that I would have to wear glasses for the first time ever. HOWEVER!! I had an excellent experience at this location, Leo was phenomenal. Was able to get in for my appointment early, and the testing process was easy and fast. Leo walked me through which lenses/options were worth it, and also not worth it. That means a lot that he did not try to upsell me too much. For that I gave him my business and bought the frames and lenses through Stanton, and they took my insurance to help reduce cost even more. For all my eyecare needs I will return here every time. They have a huge selection, and was able to try on a bunch of different kinds. For what it is worth, they also had good music playing on the speakers and cold air conditioning. Leo told me it would take about 2 weeks for them to come in, they arrived in just 8 days. Faster than expected. Thank you Leo and staff for a great experience. Surprisingly great customer service for the city of Houston these days, LOL

Leo was great, he listened to all of my questions and patiently did everything necessary to get my new glasses ordered. Even stayed past official closing time to make sure everything was taken care of with my order. I'm very happy with the great bargain I received on the 2 pairs of progressives! Ana was very helpful with adjusting my frame arms once my glasses arrived. I almost can't believe what a great deal I received from Stanton Optical!
Stanton Optical is the best. From the moment I walked in the staff was so welcoming. I came In to get my glasses fixed and the manager Devaughn Imes was the best. There wasn’t a tool to fix my glasses and he replaced them with no problem. He was really fast, cleaned them and even tightened my second pair for me. I would also like to mention, when I purchased my glasses I got two pair with bifocal readers at an amazing price. Their prices are unmatched.
I have waited to give this review in hopes that the glasses prescription was accurate & I just needed time to adjust to them, but first: the visit all went well. I found staff to be friendly, professional & efficient. The exam was quick. The eyeglass selection process was also smooth & the employee very helpful. Now what doesn’t work well there: I have progressive lenses. The close up prescription seems dead on accurate; the distance is horrible. I literally can only use my new, expensive prescription glasses as readers only! It is absolutely horrible and I have never had this to happen in my 20 yrs of wearing progressives. The pickup process was also horrible. The employee had an attitude of “couldn’t care less”, didn’t want to make any adjustments. She took no measurement to ensure proper alignment and verify to the order measurements. So if you want great service throughout the sales point but horrible value at delivery; Go there. Otherwise go somewhere else as I will now need to do in order to have glasses that allows me to actually see whenever I am driving a vehicle. I could’ve bought readers only for $10. Now, I will need to restart the entire process because I don’t know if the problem is an inaccurate prescription or these expensive eyeglasses.
Great experience, Anna was so nice and Leo was great! They made me feel so comfortable and answered all questions. Even worked out things with me. GO THERE!
