I came a bit early to attend my appointment because it’s Saturday and I knew they would probably be busy. Boy was I right!!! I truly appreciate the staff at this location! They stayed calm and were very professional with the number of people inside. I have been with Staton for years, but this time was my first to see it crowded like today. I appreciate Jodi with assisting with my frames and Daisy for the exam! With all the noise and number of people you all were super amazing! Even though it took me 3 hours, but it’s my off day and I expected this.

Scam Alert!!!!!! Made an appointment last week and was absolutely shocked by my experience. The waiting room looked dirty and they never at any point took my prescription I’ve had for 20+ years. To my surprise, there was no doctor at all, but a virtual technician you talk to on live….. I knew right away my prescription was not accurate and told staff that I really needed to talk to a doctor since the new prescription they gave me indicated my nearsightedness and astigmatism had gotten significantly better according to them. They charged me $168 for the exam and a separate $264.47 for a single pair of plastic frame no brand name glasses. When I told staff I needed to see an actual doctor, they told me I would have to make another appointment…. I had to take another day off work and came back the following Wednesday, one technician told me that sometimes eyes just get better, again no one took my prescription nor did she ever even look at my eyes or consult an actual doctor. They told me they would give me a partial refund for the glasses, but it’s been 2 days and that has not come through on my account. They kept the $168.00, even though they have not provided me with a correct prescription, nor was I seen by an actual doctor to explain how at almost 40 my nearsightedness and astigmatism have gotten so much better. I’ve had to make a 3rd appointment with a different doctor and take more time off work where I’ll have to pay $150 again for a proper consultation with an actual doctor. I did call corporate who assured me someone would be in touch in 24-48 hours, no one ever called back. If you would like to visit a dirty waiting room, spend hundreds of dollars, have to take extra time off work and not get what you actually paid for, this is the spot!
I had a disappointing experience at Standard Optical due to the level of customer service I received. When I arrived, no one greeted me or offered assistance. Staff members appeared occupied with other tasks, and I had to figure out where to check in on my own. After noticing the walk-in/check-in area, I approached the desk and was finally helped by a staff member who checked me in for my appointment. What bothered me most was that after I checked in, other customers who arrived after me were greeted and acknowledged by staff, while I was not. Throughout my visit, I felt overlooked and ignored. I was taken back for multiple tests by different staff members and was told that the doctor would come see me. After finishing my tests and returning to the waiting area, no one gave me any instructions or updated me on what was happening next. A staff member saw me come out of the exam room but did not acknowledge me. Meanwhile, another patient who arrived after me was greeted, called up, and assisted before I was. I was also charged $25 without a clear explanation that I would not be receiving contacts, a prescription, or any other take-home information from the visit. Better communication about what I was paying for would have been appreciated. To their credit, they did issue a refund when I raised my concerns, and I appreciate that they corrected the billing issue. However, the overall customer service experience was poor. I felt ignored, uninformed, and undervalued as a customer. I hope management addresses these issues so future patients receive better service.
I would recommend Staton Optical to anybody looking for an in and out service. Ive been here twice. Though the wait was about 5 or 10 minutes the environment was relaxed and i could see there was no lounging around by the staff. The lady that helped me pick out my glasses( Jodie) was very helpful, considerate of my monetary boundaries, and helped me find a perfect pair of glasses for me. I will be ordering glasses through her from now on. All together it was a great experience. Thank you Jodie. Im so glad i found you and this place.
FIVE STAR!!!! The people here treated me with the utmost professionalism! I’m very picky when it come to my glasses and they listened to me which enabled them to help me pick out glasses that were perfect! Kaylee was so upbeat and dedicated to helping me! The icing on the cake was that the process did not take forever because they know their stuff!!!!! I will be back!!!! Thank you Stanton-Little Rock!
