I don’t buy new glasses all that often, but when I do, I want to feel like I actually scored a win, not just paid another bill. So, let’s talk about Stanton Optical in Greer. This place isn’t just another eye doctor—it’s somewhere you can actually feel smart about spending money, especially if you’re trying to keep the whole family seeing straight. And honestly, as a dad, I love a good deal even more than a quiet afternoon nap. Let’s get straight to the value. Stanton Optical really does have some crazy good specials. Take the “Two Pairs for $79 Plus a Free Eye Exam” deal. That’s the kind of offer that lets you grab a backup pair without sweating the cost. If you have kids, you get it—between school, sports, and the occasional “whoops, I sat on them” moment, having a spare set isn’t just nice, it’s necessary. Stanton makes it easy to save money, they take most insurance, and they even let you buy now and pay later if you need to. It’s affordable and actually makes sense. Now, reliability. Stanton makes things simple. You’ll find them right on West Wade Hampton Blvd. They’re good about walk-ins and even same-day appointments. So, if you’re driving and suddenly realize your teenager can’t read the road signs, you can get them sorted out fast. Everything’s quick, thorough, and you’re back to whatever parenting adventure comes next—like interrogating your kids about their love lives or whatever’s on your plate. Honestly, Stanton Optical proves you don’t have to break the bank to see clearly. It’s a smart pick, and, honestly, it’s kind of fun to share a win like this.

After eye surgery, my prescription changed, so I needed new lenses. Went to Stanton Optical in Greer, walked in with no appointment and got service immediatly. Note- I went in on a Saturday, and they were pretty busy, but the staff seemed to flow and keep everything moving. I worked with a young guy named Ben... super nice. Very thourgh. The cost was less than I expected... so WIN, WIN! I highly recommend Stanton Optical in Greer
I bought my lenses with premium progressive lenses and added Hi-Index as well as PhotoMax - Gray for transition due to sunlight. I had my eyeglasses for a little over a year and the film has deteriorated on the left lens. When I spoke with the technician I explained that I noticed it after swimming in salt water while on vacation. She did not offer any resolution or suggest what to do. I told her that this is the first time buying my lenses at Stanton Optical and will be my last. I attached a photo for the owner. No follow up although It’s been a few weeks and still no one has tried to reach out to me to resolve this issue or offer any solutions. This response is probably auto generated which just indicates poor service. My next point of contact will be to email corporate office to express my dissatisfaction.
Went in for 2 eye exams, waited roughly 30 minutes past the appointment time to be told they were having issues with a machine but it just got fixed. Was told that it would be close to a 45min/1hour wait because there were 3 people in front of us. We decided not to wait. Equipment failure is beyond their control, I understand that. They also had issues with the IPads that you enter your information on. The reason for the 2 stars is because of the staff. One woman was friendly enough. But the guy has a weird/dry personality. My interaction with him was limited but they way he spoke with to a Hispanic customer sounded a bit rude. Her IPad was malfunctioning and she needed help. Didn't really seem like he wanted help.
We brought in our 87-year-old mother today and received awesome service. Dr. Bowers and Lisa who assisted with choosing her glasses were great. The optometry assistant who did her pre-screening tests also was pleasant and thorough. I chose this particular location based on good reviews so I wanted to leave a review. They were friendly and much accommodating being the patient was 87 years old. I would highly recommend this Stanton Optical.
