I had a very frustrating experience with SVS Vision after my eye exam. During my appointment, I was given trial contacts for a newer, more expensive brand to see if I preferred them over the brand I’ve been wearing. After deciding I wanted to stay with my original contacts, I called to have my prescription changed. The front desk told me the doctor just needed to approve the change and that it would be done and faxed first thing the next business morning. Two days later, the updated prescription still hadn’t been sent. When I called back, I was told they hadn’t actually checked with the doctor yet but would do so immediately. Even after another 30 minutes and multiple follow-up phone calls, it took over an hour before the fax was finally sent. Unfortunately, the prescription that was sent contained the wrong contact lens strength, so I had to call yet again. I was told their systems were running slowly and there was no estimate for when it could be corrected, resulting in yet another long wait. Lastly, the 3rd prescription I received was not even signed by the doctor herself, so I had to call yet again for a revision. I was treated like a nuisance and a bother. What was most disappointing was the lack of urgency and follow-through once I had left the office. Jeremy, in particular, was rude, dismissive, and showed little understanding of the situation or how long I had already been trying to resolve a simple prescription correction. Mistakes can happen, but the repeated delays, poor communication, and lack of customer service turned what should have been a straightforward request into an unnecessarily frustrating experience. Because of this experience, SVS Vision has lost my business. I will be taking my eye care and future contact lens purchases elsewhere and cannot recommend this office based on the level of follow-up and customer service I received.

The exam with the doctor is fine, but they will upsell you on a fundus image of the back of your eye. Then, their pricing is complicated and, if you’re paying out-of-pocket, quite high for a new pair of glasses. If you’re not, chances are the plastic frames most insurances will cover will crack in less than a year. They are not allowed to adjust your frames unless they sold them to you. The staff is nice, but they are definitely profit over care.
I came in because my glasses broke and I needed a new prescription. The exam itself was fine, but the overall experience felt very sales-driven and lacked transparency. I was encouraged to add an additional exam because "we dont have a clear basis of your eye" even though I had already completed that same exam last year. When discussing contact lenses, I was asked to choose between different supply options (6 months vs. a year, daily vs. monthly), but when I asked for pricing to make an informed decision, I was told they couldn’t provide it upfront. It’s difficult to commit to something without clear cost breakdowns. What was most frustrating was being told I could take a contact refresher class (which was presented as optional), but later being informed my contact prescription could not be released until I completed that class in two weeks. That was not clearly explained beforehand, and it felt inconsistent. I ultimately chose not to move forward with contacts and only paid for my glasses exam. I will be taking my business elsewhere due to the lack of pricing transparency and unclear communication around prescription release policies. I would recommend being very clear about costs and requirements before agreeing to additional services.
Had a great experience with getting my eye exam and talking with the doctor. But the staff was horrible due to the issue of the frames not fitting to my criteria since I’ll be the one wearing them. I want a full refund and they just gave a bunch of attitude for it. I get I’m not a customer anymore but some common courtesy would be nice when returning frames that don’t work for me. I get it’s not a common transaction to do but how the frames work can change. The staff only care about the sale.
I believe that, that was the absolute BEST I have ever been treated at an eye glass store. The staff was EXTREMELY polite, and very knowledgeable about what I needed. They did not treat me like I was a interruption of their day. They took their time, answered every single question I had. Explained everything they were doing and why they were doing it. Guys you got a lifetime customer
