If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Honestly, I don’t understand how this office is still operating with the level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of accountability I experienced. It is now the end of August/beginning of September, and I am STILL fighting to get the contacts I originally came in for. At my initial appointment, the receptionist appeared completely disengaged and seemed unsure of what she was doing. At first, I thought I liked the doctor, but that quickly changed when I realized she was not listening to what I was telling her. I specifically explained that there was a certain brand of contacts I could not use. Somehow, my prescription was made brand-specific to the exact brand I told her I could NOT use. I paid out of pocket for this visit and made it very clear that I was there because I simply wanted contacts. A week went by without hearing anything from the office, so I called for an update on my trial lenses. I was then told that the trials had never even been ordered. The employee simply said, “So sorry for the inconvenience.” At that point, I was already frustrated. Another week went by, and I finally received a call saying my trial contacts had arrived. The automated message instructed me to call the office, so I did. The receptionist had absolutely no idea why I was calling. I had to explain the situation multiple times before she understood what was going on. Then I was told I needed to make an appointment to be fitted for the trials. When I asked when I could come in, I was told two weeks later. Absolutely not. I explained that I was not willing to wait another two weeks just to receive trial contacts. These were trial lenses, and this was certainly not my first time wearing contacts. I was then transferred to the manager. The manager initially tried to blame the manufacturer. I explained that the original delay had nothing to do with the manufacturer and that the office needed to take responsibility for its own mistakes instead of constantly blaming someone else. I told her I needed to get my contacts that day. She then told me there was no doctor in the office on Thursdays and that she wanted me to be seen by the doctor who originally performed my exam. I reminded her that my original appointment was on a Thursday, so that explanation didn’t make sense. Long story short, suddenly there was a doctor available at 4:00 PM — and it was the same doctor who originally saw me. When I arrived, the doctor asked me if I wasn’t wearing my contacts. I told her that I was wearing them, because I didn’t have my glasses on. Then came another discovery: My original trial contacts had been sitting in my folder the entire time. The doctor herself admitted that no one had asked her about my trials during my original appointment. So let me get this straight: I paid for an exam. I clearly explained what I needed. I was given a prescription for a brand I specifically said I could not use. I waited weeks for trials that apparently weren’t even ordered. I had to repeatedly call the office for updates. I was told to wait another two weeks for an appointment. And then I ultimately discovered that the trial lenses had been sitting in my file the entire time. script is brand specific to the ones I can not use. The lack of responsibility, communication, organization, and basic listening to the patient at this office is unbelievable. The attitude of “the doctor knows best” doesn’t work when the doctor isn’t actually listening to what the patient is saying. Now, a month and a half later, I am STILL fighting to get the contacts I originally came in for — and now will have to pay all over again just to get a prescription from a doctor who will actually listen to me so I can get the contacts I can use. If you’re considering getting your eyes examined or ordering contacts here, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

My experience with those location has been nothing short of amazing. The front staff, assistants and doctors have all been so patient and kind. They have been willing to work with budget and do what they can to ensure I get the glasses I need. I have had not great experiences with eye doctors, and they have put my nerves at ease with every interaction. I was so happy the last time, I cried tears of joy after working with a doctor who made sure I could get contacts for my wedding day. Thanks so much SVS Livonia for your amazing service.
Lori was a spectacular representation of the company. I brought my mom in for some new glasses and we were blown away by Lori's immediate assistance and incredible level of customer service. Lori was patient with my mom, who is a stroke victim, and very encouraging. I was considering getting my glasses somewhere else, but I ended up ordering mine from this SVS because of the wonderful service. Keep doing what you're doing!
Don’t go here they be playing & wasting people time got here 2 mins past they 7 min grace period the girl who looks like she has no clue what shes doing (but looks can be deceiving) says “yea it’s going to be a nice wait since your late” (by 2 mins). On top of that it was all employees (6-7) & 1 customer coming out the back at the time we arrived, 🤣 their a whole joke here. I just rescheduled & decided to go to the Dearborn location instead. I have no time for no nonsense from an establishment. I read that room so fast I already knew what it was. Different strokes for different folks good luck.
This is the SVS location that you will want to visit if you are in the area and looking for glasses or contacts! Every time I've been in this location I have been promptly greeted and everyone genuinely wants to help the customer to look their best with their selection, not just get them out the door. I would like to thank everybody that helps to make this location a great one 👍🙌
