Tabak Optometry

I usually don’t give reviews positive or negative, but I felt compelled to applaud the Tabak optical staff. I Pivoted away from Premiere Eyecare’s poor manufacturing of my glasses, resulting in blurred vision. The Tabak staff applied the same script and used a very accurate tool to measure for progressive glasses. This resulted in excellent vision and the Correction of all the problems I had elsewhere. I thank all the staff for their kindness and ultimate customer service. in helping select my glasses. They’re focused on what I wanted and what they felt would be best. I look forward to seeing Dr. Tabak in the fall for my first eye evaluation.

Great service from start to finish. Dr. Tabak is exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough and worked with me to optimize a prescription plan that fit my lifestyle. He even identified an issue with my prescription that had been making it more challenging to read at close distances…something we solved for immediately. I was very pleased and highly recommend.

When I first saw Dr. Tabak in 6/2022, I thought he would be great. But when I had the prescription filled at Costco -- since Dr. Tabak told me he could not match their pricing -- I couldn't see anything. Not near, not my computer screen, not far. I had Costco re-check the lens twice to be sure the prescription was correctly cut and was assured that they were cut exactly as prescribed. When I call Dr. Tabak and reported the problem, he refused to re-check his prescription, even when I told him that I could see better at all distances with my 6-yr-old eyeglasses then I could with his new prescription. Costco graciously refunded my money. Needless to say, I did not return to Dr. Tabak. Dr. Tabak blamed it my cataracts. This all happened in 2022 and here I am 3 yrs later, having seen a cataract surgeon who advises today that I have very minor cataracts and surgery is not necessary at this time.
