My Wife and I were very, very impressed! The entire connection there was seamless and efficient! I can’t recommend them enough! My insurance was accepted and my appointment was just as fast and easy! They told us when our glasses would be ready and it actually half the time! The big plus…. I can actually see out of the glasses! Every other option I have had going with who took my insurance was a far less of a quality product! I came home after I received my glasses and everything was clear and sharp, , even at a great distance! Dr. Billmire is the only Dr. EVER that has achieved that for me! I will be back again and again!

Let me start by saying the Dr was amazing, it was my first eye appt in 15 yrs. However his front office staff are absolutely horrible. They lack maturity, professionalism and communication skills. They do not explain things to the consumer, they assume you know the vision lingo and terminology. They cannot answer simple questions when I would ask something that I worded wrong, instead they pause, or put you on hold to get someone else to answer your question...when they could've easily just rephrased my questions. My first appt was 4/24, with a change in Rx, would require a different contact brand. After 4 trial pairs, I finally got this resolved 6/5. This experience absolutely sucked.
Let me start by saying the Dr is amazing but his office staff is incompetent. They can not tell you prices for different lenses and you have to call them to see if your glasses/contacts are ready. When I arrived to pick up my glasses they were not ready even though I had been told that they were over the phone.
Going out is REALLY hard on me. There's the agoraphobia, there's the oxygen tank I have to lug, the wheelchair, the difficulty just getting me and the chair and tank out of the house and into the car, then out of the car and into the place we're going and back out. This is why when I make an appointment someplace, I make it very clear when I speak to them: I am on UHC through Texas Star program, that is MEDICAID. DO you accept it? If they say yes, I make the appointment. If they say no, I thank them for their time and look elsewhere. So when I go through the sheer difficulty of getting out of the house and into a care provider's office, after verifying that they take my insurance, and they look at my card and say: "Haha, nope, we don't take that one." I get infuriated. Dr Tad Billmire, Decatur, TX. Save your time, his inept front office doesn't know what they accept and don't accept. They say one thing on the phone, another when you go through it to get in there.
Couldn't even get seen by the doctor. It was so dead that I wasn't even sure if the business was open, and yet they told me it was by appointment only. I'm pretty sure the doctor wants to make money. Not sure how your receptionists turning away paying customers can benefit you. I won't be returning. If I'm going to make an appointment, it's going to be at an establishment that doesn't have paint peeling off the walls and rude staff.
