I had my post-surgery appointment yesterday with Dr. Landry and the wonderful staff at Texan Eye, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the woman at check-in with the biggest, warmest smile. She immediately made me feel welcome and cared for. Every person I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely kind. The appointment went smoothly, and Dr. Landry took the time to make sure everything was healing well and that I was doing great. And then, as I was leaving, the woman at check-out greeted me with a smile just as big as the one I received when I arrived! It really says something when the kindness and positive attitude continue all the way through the entire visit. Thank you to Dr. Landry and the entire Texan Eye team for making what can sometimes be an anxious experience feel so easy and reassuring. Exceptional care, exceptional staff, and exceptional smiles! I highly recommend Texan Eye.

Had an annual eye exam a couple of days ago. Must say it was a very pleasant visit from the moment I walked in. Reception was warm and friendly. A bit of a wait but worth the wait. The tech was thorough and professional and also warm and friendly. Shortly after Dr. Derham arrived. As my previous experience with Dr. Derham, Excellent!, all good. Had cataract surgery with Dr. Walters last year. Dr. Loose told me last year he didn't want to see me again, jokingly of course. My retina issues were resolved, thank you Dr. Loose. Happy Retirement. Thank you for your years of care 🙏. I've been with Texan Eye for many years first with Dr. Sargent until she abandoned me for retirement 😁 Dr. Derham has provided me with the ophthalmic care I've needed since. Thank you Dr. Derham 🙏 Thank you Texan Eye 🙏
I chose Dr. Sargent because she helped my daughter a few years back with a severe eye pressure issue she was having, after presenting to the ER for this issue, my daughter underwent a spinal tap for fluid draining due to viral meningitis, we followed up with Dr. Sargent a few days later & she sent us right back to the ER because she found dangerous pressure still on daughters eye & said “you have them call me” if need be, so ER found they had to drain more fluid & my daughter and her eye was completely well the day after! Now my visit with Dr.Sargent was very thorough & to the point & she has kind bedside manners. All the staff is great!
The office staff was nice and checkin was easy, large waiting area. The technician that did my intake was wonderful. She took notes and listened to all my woes with a smile on her face. Too bad Dr. Sargent wasn't like the tech. She was wildly curt and obviously didn't read the great notes the tech made. She came in mumbled a few words looked at my eyes and left. Actually just pointed at the check out sign when it was time for me to go. I saw her toss my chart to the check out gal. I will not be coming back here. It's too bad because everything but the MD was great. Maybe there's other physicians here that are better. 🤷🏼
The staff and the doctor seem to be comfortable in dealing with the Deaf. I could see Texan Eye has several deaf patients. Very nice. The person at the desk was very thorough in giving me instructions what I need to do before the upcoming surgeries
