Dr Le and Dr Nadia were absolutely wonderful. They have excellent demeanor and communicate well with their patients. My son, daughter and I all came in for visits and Ivon helped all of us. She was so patient and kind. She took so much anxiety off my shoulders in regard to my insurance benefits and what my family and I qualified for. I would say that she’s likely the glue in that office because she is knowledgeable and so considerate. Please don’t expect to walk into a brand new office. That location has been there for YEARS. Though it’s clean and well organized, the office still smells of urine(restroom pipes) and it’s noticeable as soon as you walk in. You will also have to be buzzed in because the homeless community in that area can be rather aggressive. With that being said the staff is lovely and you should definitely visit!

My family and I have been a patients at TSO for many years, I would definitely recommend TSO to any and everyone who needs to be seen for eye care and or any Optometrist related services. Every time I walk into the office I instantly feel very welcomed by the staff members. Ivon who has been an amazing employee is always very helpful especially when making decisions about which glasses fit and look best. She has the most upbeat personality and is always very friendly. She definitely knows how to make people feel comfortable. Not once. Have I left TSO feeling unsatisfied or disappointed. Ivon is exactly a great example of how an organization should be structured and managed. Dr.Jansen is also the best! he will forever be the best Ophthalmologist that I know.

I’ve generally had a good experience here, but my recent interaction over the phone was not. I’ve been experiencing ongoing eye issues and exploring different contact lens options, and I felt the tone during the conversation was condescending when I asked questions (felt like she thought I was asking for a handout rather than simply asking questions about the products I’d be paying for…) she also never got back to me when she said she’d call back. Contact lenses are expensive and I purchased a year’s supply from here, and when they begin causing discomfort related to a medical issue outside of my control, I expect a more respectful approach (and I was willing to work with the clinic but was discouraged by the attitude) Additionally, I was seen earlier this year regarding my eye issues and was told everything appeared normal. However, after seeking a second opinion elsewhere, my concerns were taken seriously and I was administered the correct exam and was diagnosed accordingly. Also don’t expect to be seen at your scheduled appointment time - expect a wait :)

I had a great experience thanks to Ivon at Texas State Optical. My daughter recently broke her glasses, and I was worried it would be a hassle to replace them. Ivon stepped in right away and helped us use the warranty she still had, making the whole process quick and stress-free. She was kind, patient, and really took the time to make sure my daughter was taken care of. It meant a lot to have someone handle the situation so smoothly, especially with a kid involved. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service and would definitely recommend asking for Ivon if you need help!

Yes, I have a visit TSO on Congress and Oto for a long time and I have had the best respect and care since I’ve been coming here. I want to give these ladies the highest recommendation that you can’t give them and you guys are invited too thank you Maurice Fowler Junior.
