Here is a polished but still strongly negative version of your review: ⸻ I had a very disappointing experience at Texas State Optical. I made an appointment expecting to see a doctor in person. At no point during scheduling was I informed that the doctor would be virtual. It wasn’t until I was already in the exam room, beginning the visit, that I was told the appointment would be conducted virtually. Since it was December 31st and I needed to use my insurance benefits before year-end, I felt like I had no real choice but to proceed and hoped it would still be a good experience. Unfortunately, the visit itself was extremely brief. The doctor spent very little time with me, handed me a new prescription, and that was it — no thorough explanation, no discussion, nothing. When I went to purchase glasses, I was shocked to find the cost was astronomically higher than what I’ve paid in the past. That’s when the optician informed me my prescription had been changed to bifocals. This was never mentioned during my exam. No explanation, no discussion about options, no warning about cost differences — nothing. I was completely blindsided. I purchased the glasses anyway and tried wearing them for several weeks, but my eyes never adjusted. In fact, my vision feels worse with them. When I called Texas State Optical to have the prescription rechecked, I specifically requested to see a doctor in person. I was told my only option would again be virtual. If I went to another location, my insurance wouldn’t cover it. Overall, this was a very poor experience from start to finish. Lack of transparency, minimal communication, and no flexibility to address issues afterward. Honestly, you could get the same level of service sitting at home. I would not recommend going there.

TSO Colleyville offers eye exams for kids, and they did such an excellent job!! I took my son in for the first time, and we had a great experience. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. We will definitely be coming back. If you're looking for an eye doctor for your children, look no further!

I was in Colleyville on business and I forgot my sunglasses at home and dropped in real quick and bought these Maui Jims. Looooove my new sunglasses. They are so stylish too. Extremely friendly staff. Customer service was superb, they really exceeded my expectations! Thank you Mayra for helping me pick them out.
