I chose this office because I was assured they were in-network with my insurance. I even called ahead to confirm my insurance information was entered correctly since I can’t afford unexpected costs. I do have insurance, so paying out of pocket should not have been necessary — I just needed an in-network provider. After arriving, I was told they were not actually in network, and I had to cover the full cost myself. Had I been told otherwise, I would have contacted my insurance company directly. This situation was very frustrating and avoidable.

Crooks and not Christian! …. after reading other reviews my experience appears to be common practice for them. My family had been going here for years and when I wasn’t with my wife, the man running the business decided to tell her that our insurance has always been a problem and she had to pay full cost for the visit and we would be reimbursed if/when insurance paid. She felt obligated to pay the full cost as she didn’t know this predatory behavior was illegal. I’ve tried for a year to get proof that it was billed, not paid and get refunded with no luck. The owner/operator is rude (always called my daughter “girl” when directing her to do anything), claims to be a Christian but doesn’t uphold those values, and can now add illegal bills and doesn’t refund when required to the list. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!! Absolutely horrible!
I had an eye exam last week. I had a previous eye exam in 2017at his store, when I worked at Mercy and had eye med. The Dr. is refusing to give me my prescription stating that have to pay a balance that I never knew about in 2017. He is holding my prescription hostage. He also charged me full fee $125 for my eye exam stating, "I don't know if you r insurance will pay me." I have VSP and have been getting my eyes checked every year since I was 9 yrs old. He is very pushy and insists I purchase eyeglasses from his store.
Very pleasant experience. The Dr. And receptionist are very welcoming. Walked in on Friday without an appointment and was seen for a very thorough eye exam. Bought leneses and frames as well. Was recommended by Payless Optical. Already made my next year's appointment!
Dr shenoda is the best. My Mom has dementia and doesn't even remember the letters of the alphabet. I don't even know how he was able to do the eye exam, but he was always patient, and thorough. He has experience in his field. I'm so glad we had him as our Dr.
