This clinic used to be excellent before Optum took over. During the Everett Clinic years, the providers felt accessible, compassionate, and genuinely invested in their patients. I used to be able to communicate directly with my doctor and schedule appointments with the physician I had chosen and trusted. Now, the system pushes a list of “recommended” providers first, while the doctor I have been established with may be unavailable for weeks. I have been seeing my doctor for nearly 15 years. It should be my decision whether I want to wait for that doctor or see someone else—not a corporate scheduling system’s decision. This feels like another good medical practice swallowed by a large corporation and stripped of the personal care that made it special. Optum may gain efficiency, but it is losing patient loyalty. The solution is simple: restore meaningful access to established doctors and allow patients to choose who they see. Good luck retaining patients if this continues.

I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Jason Hao and his wonderful nurse for the exceptional care they have provided throughout my diabetes and kidney disease journey. Managing a serious medical condition can be overwhelming, but they have made me feel supported every step of the way. Dr. Hao is knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes the time to carefully review my test results, answer all of my questions, and explain my treatment plan in a way that is easy to understand. I have never felt rushed, and I always leave my appointments feeling informed and confident about my care. His nurse is equally outstanding—kind, caring, responsive, and always willing to help. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure my concerns are addressed and that I receive the care I need. Together, they make an exceptional team. Their professionalism, dedication, and genuine concern for their patients have made a real difference in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Jason Hao and his amazing nurse to anyone looking for outstanding, compassionate medical care. Thank you both for everything you do!
UPDATE: I sent them an email to the email address they responded with to my original review. They have yet to acknowledge or respond to my email. They don't care about their patients, which is a shame because the doctors care. Just not the corporate office people. Don't go! I went there in January. Got my co-pay bill in January and paid that. Then 2 months later, got an outrageous bill for a simple lab test! Everett Clinic was bad, but Optum is the worst! I will forever go to a different clinic!
I recently had a virtual appointment with a provider at Optum, and it's was just a short, hardly 10 minute consultation. But then I got a bill for $425!!! What??!! It's a shame because the staffs are v friendly and so are the providers. I felt I had finally found a great place for my family's health but not a chance! I cannot afford to pay such exorbitant fees every time! Now im trying to find a better place that doesn't give me mini heart attacks.
Will, do better. You were disrespectful and you made me feel like an inconvenience. I was told that if a patient wants to wait outside then you guys make a note on the chart and then get them when their name is called. When I told you that I was waiting outside, your response was “well, if you get skipped then you get skipped!” Unprofessional, sloppy, and you made it very apparent that you don’t like your job, or maybe it was just me…
