The Salina team took excellent care of me today, start to finish. Front desk staff members Dana and Bracee were welcoming, efficient, and organized. I was also particularly impressed with Lisa, who handled my initial testing and pre-check before seeing Dr. Hatesohl. That part is tough for me because of a prior surgery, but she put me at ease and I breezed through it. She's a pro, and very caring. I was the last appointment of the day. I think they're playing catch up from being closed due to the power outage on Tuesday after the big storm. I was also picking out new glasses frames. But no one made me feel rushed. Jen was very attentive and did a great job helping me pick a variety to try. My new insurance info had come through incomplete, so the front desk (Dana) jumped in to help with that so I could know more about my price options. As the rest of the clinic support team was heading out for the night, they took a few minutes to give their input and brought a few more styles to add to the final choice. I really appreciated (and enjoyed) that! And they did too. Thank you, Ashley, Ivory, and Avonlie for helping. The Sally Jessy Raphael pair is especially on point for me, I love them. 🤣 ✔️ When I left, I realized that I was in a far better mood than when I arrived-- and I wasn't stressed or frazzled from picking out frames and calculating what I could afford. That hasn't been my experience in years past. Dr. Hateshol himself was excellent as always: thorough, kind, patient, clearly explains things, and extremely nice to boot. I've stayed with him for my eye care for several years, despite the fact that the rest of the overall clinic experience was generally NOT good (different support team members). I was pleasantly surprised today to see this has changed. It was obvious that this is a team with good morale, strong respect and appreciation for one another, and are each well suited to their roles. They clearly enjoy their work and working together, take pride in doing it well, and care about the patients. That combination of professionalism, knowledge, warmth, good team dynamics, and great customer service in each area is fairly rare. Well done on such a big turnaround, management team!
