Several reasons for my review. The inital eye exam went well and I was able to take my script elsewhere for glasses. When I called trying to schedule an appointment for an urgent eye concern, I left 3 messages on three separate days and never got a call back. No one answers the phones or checks voicemails. I witnessed this firsthand while in the office. While at the second exam for my medical concern, the receptionist told me medical appointments range from $95 to $120 "depending on what has to be done". I was charged $148 for the doctor to look at my eyes with a light for less than 10 seconds. No testing, nothing informative about my condition. I paid more than what I was quoted and had a terrible experience. Dr. Manes is very dismissive and has no bedside manner. I was hoping my appt would ease my concerns and anxiety, but his attitude and general lack of empathy made things so much worse. I was able to get a prescription for my condition, but I will definitely be going elsewhere for future care.

TLDR: Great doctor (Dr McDanial), and everything beyond has been a headache. If you get your eyes checked out there, highly consider another location, or getting your lens/frames from another provider that can bill your insurance. The actual optometrist was great (Dr. McDanial). Personally, this is the only reason I am not giving a 1-star review. My problems began after the appointment and the process of ordering glasses. I didn't really get any assistance or help other than our glasses are on the wall and pick a pair out. Their selection of frames was "OK", and I do like them. My further issue is trying to get the glasses fitted. I got 2 pairs of glasses with different prescriptions. I got 2 text messages at the same time telling me my frames were in. I assumed the 2 text messages meant I had both pairs of glasses in. I was informed they did not have my other pair of glasses. Trying to get them to fit my glasses was like pulling teeth and I ended up with glasses that were eating into my ears and slipping down my nose constantly. I had to fix these on my own after the fact. I got another pair of text message around 1 week after my first pair and I went to pick these up. They told me they are not here. I was a little frustrated and the receptionist did not have much empathy towards my inconvenience. I showed up yet again 1 week later (no text messages) and was told they are still not in. They suggested it was not yet 14 business days. It was 11 (2 full weeks and 2 days). I was told I would receive a call when they came in. It is now "after" 14 days and I still have not gotten a call or voicemail stating they are in. I called today and am waiting to hear in my 2nd pair of glasses have arrived or if they even have tracking on them. I am about to inquire on a refund for my 2nd pair of glasses and deal with the headache of reimbursing insurance on their share of what was paid or if I just use it to get a 2nd pair elsewhere. I understand my prescriptions are very uncommon, but it should not take 3 weeks in my opinion to produce lens and is after the window that was provided to me. Again, I'm not a fan of the receptionist and I may have gone off on her the last time I was in after being told they were not there. I don't even think she said an apology, just that they weren't in. I have worked in call centers for over 15 years of my career, and I would not let this person be customer facing person if it were my call. She needs some training on how to provide better customer service at the least.
Yesterday was my first visit at The Eye Doctors and every single person was friendly and helpful. I got in quickly and got thoroughly checked. I left feeling much better about a sudden issue with my right eye. I will definitely use them again. Dr. Manes and the staff are awesome!
TLDR at bottom Was okay at first. Typical everyday eye exam and glasses pick ups. Then they were sending in a referral due to eye issues to a neuro opthomoligy specialist back in November. I called the office the referral was sent to. They said they never received the referral please reach out to them. I attempted to call multiple times over the course of 5 months (January-April) with no success of getting a single one of the 6+ messages left for somebody to call me returned. Start of June bc my vision has been having increased issues I I went up there, lady said "Yes we did send the referral but we'll send it again and I'll even email it to you so you have it too." I received the email and lo-and-behold only the referral coversheet is for my info the actual medical information attached WAS SOMEBODY ELSES!!! I called the office to which my referral was sent again today and they informed me the referred provider reached out to them on June 12th after they received the botched referral to get the correct information and they still have no received it and requested I reach out to them again. So I did that and left yet another message. I now have had detailed medical history on another patient emailed to me, had 6 or more unreturned phone calls, and 2 botched referrals. So TLDR: Only go here if you know your vision is perfectly fine and won't need anything extra done at all because they won't do it at all and if they do it they won't do it right anyways.
The doctor was nice, vision exam went through smoothly but the staff messed up my insurance policy and charge me $50 for copay that I’m not supposed to pay. Right now I have to wait until my insurance accepts the claim and call the billing department again for the refund.
