My spouse and I have both received excellent care from Dr. Ethan Jones at The Local Optical over the last couple of years. The front desk staff are efficient, Nancy does a great job with our eyeglass fittings and the entire process goes smoothly. We recommend this team to everyone we know!

Truly the Best Care—Even in Real Life Mom Moments I can’t recommend this office enough! As a mom of a newborn, I was a little nervous about how my appointment would go—but they went above and beyond in every way. My baby was getting sleepy and a little fussy during my visit, and the staff was so patient and understanding. They truly worked with me, helping adjust things so I could get all my testing done while still tending to him. That kind of care and flexibility meant more to me than I can even put into words. When Dr. Ethan Jones came in, it only got better. I’ve actually known him since high school, and it’s been incredible to see how much he’s grown—he truly shines as an ophthalmologist. During the refracting portion, he made it clear that whatever was easiest for me would work for him, which instantly put me at ease. The entire experience was professional, compassionate, and just genuinely kind. You can tell this office cares about their patients as real people, not just appointments on a schedule. If you’re looking for an eye doctor who is not only excellent at what they do but also incredibly understanding and accommodating, this is absolutely the place to go! I can’t recommend The Local Optical and Dr. Jones enough!

As a senior on Medicare, and not been to eye doctor in a long time, let me say it was easy to get an appointment, once I showed up for the appointment the staff was very friendly. Did not have to wait for few minutes. Dr. Ethan Jones and his team were very thorough, Dr Jones took time and explained my eyes health. Dr explained my options. I chose to get glasses, they have a great selection. The glasses I ordered came in about a week. I would definitely recommend Dr. Jones and his team.

I can’t say enough good things about The Local Optical. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I can feel pretty awkward during things like this, but they make me feel completely comfortable every single time. Every staff member is kind and treats you like an actual person, not just another appointment. The eye doctor is friendly, down to earth, clearly cares, and actually takes the time to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand. The medical assistant is genuinely sweet, Kenzie at the front desk is wonderful, and the lady who helps pick out frames is honest and 100% wants you to find what looks best on you. They’re incredibly professional, but still make you feel cared about and at ease the whole time. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Local Optical is absolutely fantastic! As soon as you walk into the door you are greeted with a friendly smile and the ladies make you feel so welcome and comfortable. The eye doctor was very nice and friendly answering all questions I had and helpful. I also had an Absolutely Amazing Lady helping me choose which glasses to get , she is the best!
