I scheduled for me, my husband and son. The day of our appointment came and we got there on time. I filled out all the paperwork. A very nice nurse grabbed me and did my exam. When we were done with the pressure test she said " Ok next we will take a picture of the back of your eye, insurance doesn't cover this and it is $40 please put your eye up to the machine behind you. I informed her I could not afford that. She said well the doctor requires it for the exam. I said well that is new and I was not prepared to pay $120 for the 3 of us. She said I will go let doctor know. She came back and a said the doctor is going to waive this time. I said Thank You. That should have been disclosed when I made the appointment and when we check in and when we filled out the paperwork. This is also doctor preference as it is not required at any other eye doctors. Again patients should be informed of the cost before the appointment. I was given contacts to try. I texted a week later that I did not like them so they gave me new samples. I asked for my eye prescription and they immediately sent it to me. Awesome! This morning, I let them know I loved the contacts and would like the prescription. She asked if I wanted a quote from them. I said yes and she sent one with in 30 mins. I said Thank you but I'm going to shop around at 12:30pm. She responded to me at 1:30 and said no worries. She never sent the script to me. They are now closed and I already ordered my contacts from the other place, they would have been here Monday but not now. She could have sent them when she last responded or when she gave me the quote. I do not expect instant results but she had plenty of time to send it. As a nurse I would have all that done before the weekend, in fact the doctors I have worked for would be mad at their nurse for not sending it before the end of the day. The staff is nice and friendly but everything was a hassle. I read the reviews after the appointment and was hoping it wouldn't be difficult to get the prescription for the contacts.

My 16 year old has to wear glasses that are pretty strong, which can limit the style of frame he can choose from. But the staff helped him find the right frame and lense type that looks amazing on him. Jaden was so friendly and patient with the whole process! Although the whole staff and doctor were all so kind and friendly! We will definitely be back!

The staff, The Service, McCrackin all were absolutely amazing. We had a hard time locating parking and the actual office itself but once we did myself and my sons had an amazing experience. Dr. McCrackin was very helpful and thorough in guiding me through expectations and next steps for my son’s diagnosis she was reassuring, comforting and proactive in ensuring he receives the best care moving forward. I initially was referred to Dean McGee for his vision needs but I feel very strongly we made the right choice with Dr. McCrackin! My transition from glasses to contacts was a breeze and they made sure the brand and prescription I was given was a great fit prior to me leaving. This meant a lot due to the severe astigmatism I have and having been told previously I am not a candidate for contacts and actually being properly fitted and a pair chosen that are extremely comfortable and great for my needs made this experience for my family. They have a patient for life and my husband will be next. Thank you all so much!!

The ladies who work here are very friendly and the doctor does a decent job. However, they look for ways to up charge you at every turn so that you pay far more out of pocket than you really need to. While at most places using the retinal imaging machine is optional and you can choose to have your eyes dilated instead they will only use the machine and charge you for it (I refused and said I would not pay for that since most places can dilate the eyes without the extra charge and so the doctor told me she wouldn’t charge me this time but to expect it next time…) they only have very expensive frames and absolutely none that fell within my insurance benefit which has actually a very nice amount covered, then they require you to have only high tier lenses and require several add ons… if I had purchased glasses here the minimum with frames and lenses I would have spent would have been over $500 out of pocket and I have really good vision benefits. I took my prescription elsewhere… they have far more frames, they had many of the same frames this doctors office has and had them for a much lower price, they also don’t require unnecessary extra’s on the lenses. I got a pair of glasses with great frames and that work great… with only what I actually needed and wanted in them… and with very little out of pocket. My advice is save yourself a ton of money and go elsewhere.

The Oculist by Vision Source has a friendly staff. Very clean and welcoming environment. The eye exam was a good pace. Ran smoothly. The doctor listen to all of my concerns and answered any questions I had. I can't wait to go back to choose a pair of glasses. They have lots of options to choose from.
