Just had my follow up visit after laser surgery for a retinal hole. Dr. Xu has been wonderful as have all front office staff and technicians. Everyone was so pleasant and professional and they really put your comfort as a top priority. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely recommend based on my personal experience.

I was in and out within 45 minutes for a eyelea shot. The nurses were very efficient and professional. Seems to be a turn over of staff. I used to see the same people on a regular basis, but now it’s different almost every time. Even still, they are all very nice and know their specific job.
I like Dr. Dinh. He is attentive and kind. The 3-stars is due to the inefficiency of the front desk check-in staff in Annapolis. I completed all the paperwork online. I arrived 10 minutes before my 9:45 appointment. The front desk didn't even acknowledge my presence for nearly 45 minutes, and then only to confirm that I was there and had already completed my paperwork. I then waited another hour to be seen by the tech. When I questioned the long delay, I was told that I had arrived late for my appointment so was being squeezed in. (Seems arrival is logged from when the front desk staff chooses to look at the sign-in sheet and calls you to its desk.) The office manager told me they are working on improving their check in process. Really? Check in, especially for patients who have no additional paperwork to complete, isn't that complicated. Also, while the two check-in clerks seemed incapable of checking people in, the two check-out clerks sitting next to them were waiting for work. I was one of the youngest patients in the waiting room. Perhaps the practice is accustomed to retirees who aren't also juggling work and family obligations.
My experience was great, from checking in to checking out. I did not wait long before I was called by a technician to get scans, dilate my eyes and other tests for Dr. Dinh. The doctor was very thorough and presented good options for me to consider. I highly recommend the Retina group and I have been going there for years.
My 87 yo mom has wet macular degeneration and was being treated by one of the Doctors here and was always in pain after the injections. We switched Doctors within the practice to Dr. Reid and what an amazing person she is. Very caring and gentle. She rinsed my mom's eyes out after the injections and it made all the difference. I can't speak highly enough about Dr.Reid, she's AMAZING! 5 stars for sure!
