Through the Hayes Optometry

Through the Hayes Optometry is hands down the best optical shop in San Francisco. I have been a customer for many years and the service is always top notch. Brandon at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Tam is the best. She is efficient and has always shown that she really cares. The real star at this store is the optician Jessica Cardona. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a very discerning eye for what looks good on me. She picked out my glasses (I never would have chosen them) and I have never been so pleased. I get compliments on them all the time, at least twice a day. Linsey, the other optician has excellent taste and she helped me pick out other glasses that I am very happy with. The selection of styles is amazing and the prices are pretty good (Especially with insurance) So happy to have found this outstanding place

I've been going to Through the Hayes Optometry for over 8 years now, and their care and service have been exceptional. Just recently, I stopped in for just a small frame adjustment, and they noticed that my lenses were scratched. Although my glasses were outside the lens warranty, they replaced my scratched lenses for free! Even though I moved away recently, I'll still keep coming back because of their great customer service.

I came to Through The Hayes Optometry to get prescription lenses for two pairs of glasses, and I’m so glad I chose them. Caitlynn provided exceptional customer service. She patiently helped me select the right lenses, coatings, and tint, and went above and beyond to make sure the tint matched my old pair perfectly. I just picked up my new frames, and they look fantastic. Thank you, Caitlynn, for making the whole process easy and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back for my next set of frames. Of course Dr.Tam is wonderful and attentive. The whole team was very helpful, from reception to the tech before seeing Dr. Tam. I was also well supported in picking out a great new frame! They always have a great selection!

I went to visit Through the Hayes in early January. Had a great time trying on new frames to find my style with the manager. The manager told me they would order the frames I loved but in a different color that I was more drawn to. 2 weeks go by and I never heard from Through the Hayes. I called them myself and explained the situation. The front desk person told me they will contact the manager and will give me a call back with an update. Again, never heard from them for another 2 weeks. I called again and even explain that if someone forgot to order them, that is okay and I really am looking forward to the frames in the specific color. I get the same answer back from the front desk person. I never heard back. Finally, I go to a different optometrist - I get the frames I wanted ordered to try on (2 week process) and then I get them with my prescription (about a 4 week process total). A month and a half later I hear back from Through the Hayes that the frames I wanted were ready to try on. Are you kidding me? Absolutely awful communication from Through the Hayes. Spend your money elsewhere.
