The reason for only 4 stars is because of the waiting time. I feel that my time is also important and scheduling should be done so there is less than an hour wait. Otherwise. I was treated nicely and once my exam began, everything ran smoothly. I was informed of the results of my examination and was satisfied.
Appointment set out for about 3 months prior to get canceled because the new provider in office doesn't take our insurance. My appointment got canceled the day of, a few hours prior, (Edinburg location). They called me today (Friday) to cancel/reschedule my kids Monday appointment (Mission) The new appointment set for my children went from May to August. Absolutely ridiculous!! Instead of making it right and accommodating with another provider within a timely manner who does accept our insurance they could care less. They lost a customer and Im sure plenty others if this is the way continue to handle the situation. Very upsetting.
THIS EYE DOCTOR IS GOOD BUT THE ONE IN EDINBURGH OVER HERE IN MISSION THERE TRASH THEY NEVER ANSSWER THE PHONE WHEN WE CALL SO WE GO AND THEY KEEP CHANGING APPOINTMENTS ALL THE TIME ⏲️ 🙄 BUT YEAH ITS NO GOOD AND THEY SAID THEY SEND A TEXT AND THEY DID BUT THEY DONT CALL WHY DONT THEY CALL WHATS SO HARD ABOUT THEM CALLING ANYWAYS I DONT RECCOMEND IT 💯 ONLY THE INE IN EDINBURGH LIKE I SAID👍
Thurmond Eye Associates provides thorough and professional care, and the staff is friendly and attentive. However, the wait time can be a significant drawback – I had to wait about two hours before being seen. Once with the doctor, the service was excellent, but the extended wait is unacceptable. I’d recommend scheduling with ample time and far from lunch hrs.
I went in today at 8:15 am, and honestly I had a great experience! The staff was friendly, Dr. Johnson was phenomenal, she explains everything with so much detail, and is literally extremely nice, felt very comfortable to ask any questions to her about my son's visit. The fact that despite my son being a 1 yr old active toddler, she was very patient and careful with him. I think that despite all these negative reviews, you should check out Dr. Johnson's office to reassure yourself that it's worth getting your eyes checked by a true patient professional!
