Pacific Eye Care is now operated by Total Vision. I did not know this, all the signage says Pacific Eye Care or I would have gone elsewhere. Now, this review is not about their Optometry team, they might be great, I have no idea. I went in with a prescription for 3 glasses, needing 5 total. There selection was pretty good, not great, but I can't see so I really needed these glasses. They are a tad pricey, but that was also okay, as they promised me these glasses would be ready in a week and a half. I said, I'll give you two weeks, can you do it. I can't drive, I can't read. They promised that 1 and a half weeks would be plenty of time. Right. Almost a month later I called them and I got the "we were just about to call you" line, which you know is always false. They said my last pair just came in. I asked why they had not called when the first pair came in as I was very clear I could not drive or read. I got silence. I went in to get my glasses and waited close to 20 minutes Just for them to be fitted and put in a case. Now when I finally saw someone she was great, thus the 3 and not a 1 rating. She took care to fit the glasses right and put them all in cases--not the cases I thought I would have like the ones with the name of these expensive designer glasses I bought, but whatever. I won't be back. Don't make promises you can't keep, if there is an issue call the customer and don't make them call you, because having my husband drive me around is just so much fun and not at all a waste if his workday.

I wanted to support a less commercial office so decided to try this place. They called in advance to confirm my insurance and told me my visit would be $10. The guy I spoke with was lovely and I was looking forward to the visit. I get there and they tell me I can’t just get the exam. I have to pay an additional $40 for an eye health evaluation. The woman was rude and condescending as if that is a normal practice to upsell at an eye doctor. They refused to see me for just an exam so I didn’t even see a doctor. A waste of a battle through traffic. I found the upfront swindle sketchy and alarming and can only imagine the patient experience. I would go somewhere else.
My husband has a great experience at the Pacific Eye Center for his eye exams. The office is clean, spacious, professional, high technology, experience doctor and their front desk Monse, she always helpful, friendly and polite! Highly recommended.
The folks here were pretty helpful when I brought in a pair of glasses that needed lenses. The initial lenses had an issue with them and they helped me diagnose the problem and walked me through the options we had getting lenses from them. Special thanks to Mike who was very patient and explained everything well!
A great heath care experience. The office was exceptionally clean. I used the restroom and it was completely spotless and clean. All the staff were safety conscious and used precautions. They were courteous, pleasant, professional. Hand sanitizer everywhere and always wiping down equipment with alcohol wipes. The doctor was great. And the final cost to me after my insurance coverage was very reasonable and within my expectations. Glad I found this place for my eye care. Highly recommended.
