My wife had need for an emergency evaluation. She wears contacts and got an irritated white cloudy speck on her cornea. Although the office was full for the day when I called, they made a space for us. We were seen by Dr. Nathan Johnson. He was excellent. Knowledgeable, polite and empathetic. He got us what we needed and helped us plan for next steps. As good of an experience that you can have. Updated review: 5 -> 3 * After my wife’s initial visit they had her come back no joke, 5 separate times in 14 days. Each with its own separate co-pay. Then when she went to get her new prescription they told her she’d have sample contacts to try before she solidified her contact order. This didn’t happen this way at all. They didn’t order the samples so she had to wait an extra week. Then when she went to pick up the samples they 1) tried to get her to buy the contacts (already paid for) then 2) they wanted her to take the contacts they ordered preemptively. If she took them then they’d likely have pushed back on the return if she has an issue with the samples. Along this process there were key notes that weren’t passed along causing the whole thing to take longer. Disorganization and lack of care across the board. We’ve resolved to not make total vision our eye care providers. Missing Dr. Chin right now…

Very professional and friendly staff! They were transparent on their pricing on glasses and contact prescriptions before ordering. The wait time to be seen was not very long. The technician was friendly and thoroughly explained each test and equipment’s purpose for the test. I will be making future yearly visits with them!
Extremely poor customer service. Would not recommend! I had a prescription and order for a new pair of glasses in hand. Just needed to be processed. I went into their office to process the order, but was told by the receptionist that it couldn't be done right away, because the person in charge had to go on a lunch break, but they would call me back as soon as the person returned from their break. So I went home and waited a few hours, but didn't receive any calls. I decided to call them back myself and the receptionist told me that there was some issues with the frames, even though before she had told me everything was okay with the order, and that they would have to sort it out and call me back the next day. Two days later, still no call. The following day, I called again and was told once again that it can't be processed just yet, but they would call me back in 15 minutes to process it. Several days later and without any calls from them, I decided to go with the different provider. That provider processed my order right away and a few days later, I picked up my new glasses without any issues.
Was denied a visit today due to the receptionist informing me that I needed a referral with Tricare P for an annual eye exam. I let her know that no it was still covered as I checked my benefits the other day to which she replied no you need a referral that it changed this year here's the fax number you need to go to your primary doctor. Well I called my insurance. She was wrong and I was correct that annual eye exam provided by an optometrist are covered yearly without a referral and I only needed a referral to see an ophthalmologist. So no clue where she got her information from but she was grossly misinformed. Just a heads up to any other military families seeking care as this location is near the largest military housing. They dont verify benefits.
I had a good experience getting my eye exam and getting to choose my frames. I chose 2 pairs, a normal pair and some safety glasses I needed for work. Told me the safety glasses would be ready between 4-6 weeks. However, after not hearing from them and calling them once a week after the 4th week to ask about my safety glasses, they told me they weren't ready. On the 7th week I go in and ask for my glasses and they tell me they've been on hold this whole time because they forgot to ask me for some information on the first day I went to get my eye exam and now I have to wait 2 more weeks for them to release my glasses from the lab.
