I recently had an eye visit with Dr. Chris, and everything about it was exceptional. Starting off with the woman at the front desk who was very nice and helpful. All the questions i had, she could answer. Following her was the very nice woman who performed the many tests on my eyes. She explained everything very thoroughly, which the tests go by quickly. After tests I was brought to Dr. Chris who did an amazing job with showing me the images of my eyes and explaining what exactly each of the tests were looking for. The way he explained everything to me made the informational very easy to understand. After the talk with him I was brought to the final lady who helped me pick out glasses. She was extremely helpful as well, with explaining the different costs, insurance, shapes, ect. Overall, I would rate my visit a 10/10 and I will definitely be coming back for my next appointment.

While the optometrists at this practice provide excellent medical care, the billing and optical shop practices are another story. During my recent visit, the technicians insisted on performing multiple expensive, optional machine tests. I explicitly stated that my insurance would not cover these and that I did not want them, but I was told they were mandatory for a full exam. The high out-of-pocket costs for these extra tests, after my coverage is utilized were withheld until I was at the checkout desk. The checkout process is combined with their in-house glasses shop, where there is pressure to purchase frames from them and not elsewhere. When discussing costs, I was provided with vague answers while someone was typing on a keyboard and was further pushed to browse frames without explaining my actual coverage. The frame prices are printed on tiny, smudged stickers that are difficult to read for someone visiting an eye doctor. When the total for the frames came out to a lot more than standard, the employee offered no assistance, budget options, or breakdowns of the costs even when asked. After I declined the frame purchase due to the high cost, I got no reaction and the worker just printed my prescription, charged me full price for the unwanted tests, and rushed me out. I wound up getting very affordable and good quality frames and lens elsewhere. Sadly, even though the optometrists are experts and overly friendly, I still have to recommend looking elsewhere.

Just want to share my experience. The testing staff and Dr Ratcliff were very professional. I had a good experience in that respect. But the office staff made me pause due to a request I had. First, they are so booked a follow up eye exam requires a two month wait. Next, because I've broken my glasses, I requested the office to resend my previous prescription so I could have a new pair made until I could re-test. While a valid perscription if good for 1-3 years, they took my request to resend my perscription to me and write in huge letters across the entire page, EXPIRED, like it wasn't noticable on the top right. Sorry, for me, I can't wait 2 months for another test. But its ok everyone, because they don't need my buisness if they are so booked out. I'll just move on.

The receptionist was very rude and the women assisting with glasses were stuck up. While I understand they're trying to sell glasses, their attitudes changed immediately after I declined to buy. The doctor, however, was very nice. I will not be returning.

They changed my appointment three times last year before I finally called another office and got in within a week. Apparently the doctors don't work very much and they don't need any more customers.
