I am extremely disappointed with my experience today, specifically my interaction with Jasmine at the front desk. Before driving in from Canyon Lake, I specifically confirmed the cost of my appointment in the week prior. Jezebel called to confirm my appointment, and when I asked about pricing, she checked and called me back the following day confirming that the eye exam would be $25 and the prescription $45. I made the drive based on that information. When I arrived, Jasmine attempted to charge me $70 and simply told me that Jezebel had given me the wrong information and that she shouldn't be providing the costs to anyone. When I explained that I had specifically confirmed the price before making the drive, there was absolutely no attempt to acknowledge the inconvenience or resolve the situation. What was most disappointing was Jasmine's attitude. I told her that even a simple, “I’m sorry you drove all this way and were given incorrect information,” would have gone a long way. Her response was, “I’m not going to tell you I’m sorry because I’m not the one that did it.” That response is the reason I am writing this complaint. Mistakes happen. Had Jasmine simply shown some courtesy and professionalism, I would have understood the mistake and worked with them to resolve the issue. Dr. Stark has worked hard to build his practice and reputation, but the person at the front desk is often a patient’s first impression of that practice. Unfortunately, Jasmine’s behavior completely changed mine after over a decade of being his patient. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
