Every single staff member here from check in folks to docs to nurses were kind, attentive, and thorough. Nurses Stephanie, Destiny & Hulga (sorry if names spelled wrong) , I don't think they understand how much ease they provided me with their care, especially Stephanie right before procedure started. I had upper endoscopy and it was very efficient. Anesthesiologist Dr. Otis (apologies for forgetting his last name) was also really personable and put me at ease. The other two Docs were also great! I continue to be impressed with UNC overall. Thank you so much to all of our medical staff out there saving and changing lives! 💖

I cannot say enough good things about the maternity care center at Chatham Hospital. I had both of my children here, one in 2022 and one in 2025, and both experiences were the best I could have hoped for. A huge benefit of giving birth at a smaller hospital was the level of care and attention I received. During my first labor/birth I was the only patient in the MCC so there were multiple doctors and extra nurses in the room to assist and be available if needed. Both experiences were very laid back, relaxed, and I never felt rushed or pressured by the staff. I was nervous that the anesthesiologist was not on site and would have to be called in, but both times I was able to receive my epidural within an hour of asking for it. There are so many more good points, I won’t list them all. If you are considering giving birth at Chatham Hospital, I would highly recommend!

Dr. Merica is the absolute best doctor. She is extremely attentive, caring, thorough, and professional. She made my experience here amazing in a bad circumstance.

Went in this morning at 11 am with high blood pressure, chest pains, anxiety attack issues, headache, stuttering. Passed out and was taken to triage where blood work, ekg, chest X-rays, and blood pressure was checked out. Then I sat in the lobby for 4 hours before another ekg was done. Then I went back to the lobby. Keep in mind the whole time I was in the lobby , nobody came to check on me and my chest was killing me. When I finally got in a room, if you want to call it that, it was around 4 hours after I got to the hospital. This whole time my blood pressure, pulse rate, etc had not been monitored at all. The "room" had a couple of lamps on the wall and a recliner- that's it!!!! Here I sat with chest pains, headache and high blood pressure and yet no treatment for it. I get that hospitals can be busy but to put someone in that shape especially with a service dog with them, in a room with no monitoring equipment is slack on their part. I went in because I felt like I was having a heart attack- good thing I wasnt. After sitting in that small unequipped room for over an hour, with nobody checking on me doing any vitals, etc. I left. Hell I can check my blood pressure at home myself. I came home still with high blood pressure, my chest is tight, and I am hurting still. Thanks for the high hospital bill, and the lack of true care today.

A simple reconstructive surgery after one layer Mohs surgery was billed at $11,000. The surgeon charged $2,200 - no problem. But the hospitals long list of items added up to over $8,800! Multiple anesthesians amoung many charges for this outpatient forehead stitching. Multiple calls were made to question charges but nothing changed. DON'T GO HERE unless it's an emergency!
