I hadn't been to this UHP Dental location since 2015 because of the poor service I received back then. Unfortunately, after returning today, nothing has changed. I'm 5½ months pregnant and recently noticed a cavity. For the past two months, every time I floss, my gums bleed and food keeps getting trapped in that area. Since this location rarely has timely appointments—sometimes the wait is up to six months—I decided to try a walk-in because the location I normally go to was closed on the only day I was available. I told the receptionist I usually go somewhere else but my dentist is out for that Thurs-Sunday. She said I could still be seen because to my insurance is no longer a problem to see different dentist provider as they have changed policy. When I arrived, I was told they could see me as a walk-in at 1:00 p.m. The dentist was at lunch by 1pm, and I wasn't called until 2:30 p.m and I was told by reception that there was no one before me. After being called, the dentist(Nelly Vasquez) asked what was wrong, and I explained that food was getting stuck in my tooth and that my gums bleed when I floss. Her response was, "That's not an emergency. An emergency is pain that's a 6 to 10." The problem is, I never claimed it was an emergency. I came in because I wanted to address the issue before it became painful—especially since I'm pregnant. Waiting until I'm in severe pain to seek treatment makes no sense. They took an xray of the tooth, and still had nothing of note to say. The dentist didn't take any tools or light to look at my tooth. Instead of evaluating the problem herself, she simply referred me to an outside clinic called Union Community Health Center which has horrible reviews as well, all to determine whether I need a root canal. The dentist was rude, dismissive, and showed no empathy. On top of that, at the reception desk, right before leaving I was told to wait for the referral, and the older lady at the front desk just blurted out that I haven't had a cleaning since 2015. I told her I haven't been at this location since 2015 because of the bad service, which with today's visit it is still apparently just as abysmal. Also, why is she saying my personal stuff out loud, isn't that a HIPPA violation. I'm extremely disappointed that I gave this office another chance. Sadly, the service is just as poor as it was years ago. They are unprofessional. Fast forward to Tuesday, I went to the dentist I have been going to the last few years, and he looked at what I thought and reported as a possible cavity and he said it's just that my filling fell out, and there is no active cavity. Imagine if I went to that other place for a "root canal" all because the dentist at UHP couldn't even take a decent look at my tooth.

Until recently, I am dissatisfied with UH Telehealth. I was contacted by phone for a Telehealth that would take place at 10:30 am. I waited and no one reached out. Then at 6:30pm on that same day I was contacted for Telehealth, and of course, I complained because no one reached out to me early that day for the 10:30am appt. It was then rescheduled at 7:15 but the doctor reached out at 7:45 pm. Now, as I reviewed my patient portal, it shows that I was a no show for the early appt. which is incorrect. The information listed in my patient portal is false which raises concern on who is handling the patient portal and entering incorrect information. It seems that they write whatever they want and make a patient seem irresponsible or uncooperative. Instead of lying on the patient portal, they should have not written anything if the doctor didn't reach out to the patient.

I’ve been with it a since a back in 2015 adolescence. The care , and compassion was amazing. When my daughter was born everything was good the workers were great. Since January 2025 It’s been HORRIBLE ! The wait time has been ridiculous. My appointment was at 8:30 am Got here 8:09 am didn’t leave till 11:30am. Last time I came I filed a complaint with an incident I had with a doctor they made it seem as if the care and someone would follow up it’s a year and some change later and nothing. The receptionist and the attitudes when questions are being asked is insane actually! It’s so sad that instead getting better it’s getting worse I really use to be so proud to call this my clinic, I understand things change but that dos not mean you get to treat people like the bottom of your shoe.

Honestly don’t come to the dentist here! They make you wait 2 hours after appointment schedule and then if they are about to clock out they won’t do their job and take care of you I literally went to get my cleaning and exam and they didn’t do my cleaning and want me to come in next week for what I went in for since Nelly wanted to leave on time once it closes at 5pm they are unprofessional and only care about money

Entry staff are great, had an appt, waited 3 hours, when I complained and the administrator a Ms.Duana Oller came out and she was very confrontational and condescending, staff is great tho, I wouldn't refer ANY of my family to this facility
