I think the doctor here are very talented, but good luck trying to get treated because it’s almost impossible to ever call anybody back if you missed their call. Apparently, Keck doesn’t use extensions so you can’t call someone back. You have to go through some Main operator. And all you ever get for the person who calls you is their first name no last name. You can’t just simply have them transferred to the department. It’s practically impossible to call a person back. And when you do finally find someone who knows the person they’re usually not there and they don’t leave voicemails. This is profoundly frustrating and they should basically revamp the entire system so you at least can call people back by extension or department without all the hassle. I was treated here once, and then had a hell of a time trying to get a hold of anybody and have all that given up. What the hell kind of place is this!?!

Keck USC Medicine I have to talk about your wonderful work with my grandson. He went to Los Robles Regional Center with a leg injury and they sent him home with a splint. His leg swelled up overnight, not to mention the pain. His Aunt, a nurse had his parents bring him to Keck USC. You saved his leg and possibly his life!!! He’s back to playing ball and I will forever be grateful. God bless you all.
Keck medicine of USC, My experiences, three times now, have all been horrible! World class service is not what you'll get if you're gay and on Medicare! I was left to rot in pain for 45 minutes, after my scheduled procedure didn't happen on time. Not once did a nurse come to check if I needed to redose my pain medication for my leg ulcer, that they were made aware of, or to tell me that the Dr is running behind, because he took a private insurance patient before you. they took in some lady who arrived after me because she had private health insurance and a bigger mouth than I. I heard her telling the anesthesiologist she wanted fentyle in her anesthesia, private insurance. I walked out without the procedure, because I was so disgusted after being ignored for over an hour. I just canceled again because I wasn't convinced I would receive "World Class" service. "Taylored to me". All they can say is "i can't promise anything ". That's an advertising fabrication. Today, I wish I had Kyser Permanente insurance . ACA sucks and so does Keck Medicine of USC. Save your apologizes corporate, i filed a patient grievance report and I got crickets. you have zero credibility with this sucker. Signed, effed over twice. Vincent James De Marco
I received my liver transplant from Keck on 7/3/19. Dr. Ahearn is a very skilled surgeon. I had just come off eight years of some pretty traumatic health experiences with another medical organization, so I was very fragile not only physically, but mentally too. The minute I met Dr. Ahearn, I knew I had been given the best surgeon for me. He was friendly, sensitive, a fantastic listener, confident in his skills, but humble as a human being. Overall he seemed to genuinely care about his patients. Post transplant, I have had Dr. Khemichian following me. He is another specialist I feel fortunate to have been put in my life. He has been with me through some terrifying and traumatic situations. He is calm, reassuring, humble, and a great listener. I have a lot of anxiety, and he knows exactly how to talk me down and put things in a better perspective. I would recommend both of these amazing doctors to anyone and everyone looking for help within these specialties. They are especially great with people who are a bit anxious with medical entities, or have experienced medical trauma of any kind.
Drs are exceptional. Yet, as mentioned in a previous review, office staff can benefit from further training, and learn to effectively communicate. I called in mid January and the first available appointment was in March. On THREE occasions I called, as DIRECTED, to check for an earlier appointment, no openings simply an extensive explanation why my visit must be on the date scheduled. Fine. As I stepped into the office, I received a call telling me there was an ERROR, my visit was NOT an office visit but a VIDEO call. I was livid! (I had to find and pay for a caregiver to look after two relatives with dementia that live with me). I was rudely dismissed by the person at the front desk, with not even an offer to cover my parking! The fiasco was a result of miscommunication, which the doctor could not understand why, since she had stopped her in office hours for months due to Covid19.
