I had such a wonderful experience here! The optometrist (dr. Christine) took the time to carefully adjust my wife’s glasses and made sure they fit perfectly—all without charging us a penny. She was kind, patient, and clearly wanted to help us rather than just make a sale. I really appreciate her generosity and dedication to quality care. Highly recommended!

My husband and I love the service and care we receive here. We’ve been going here for several years now. She tells us everything we need to know and educates us about maintenance, warning signs to look out for, etc. she truly cares about your eye health and spends time and provides quality care. Even works out all insurance options and what works best with what insurance you have to maximize your coverage and budget.
The receptionist was extremely rude as soon as we walked in. She raised her voice at a simple question, and it was the first thing she even said to us. she was very hostile. Unprofessional. Don’t recommend
I called up Valley Vision Optometry after another Castro Valley based Optometry abruptly canceled on me. They were not able to accommodate me until several weeks later but Valley Vision Optometry was able to squeeze me in the next day! I was greeted by Dr. Christine Y. Liao and she was very mindful of COVID-19 safe practices. Further she game me amazing care and wasn't trying to rush me. I honestly felt like a rock star the entire time I was there. I felt like she put the time with my Eye Examination to really make sure my prescription was accurate. In the past I really felt rushed by other optometrists. Dr. Liao also took the time to explain all my glasses and contact lens options. I had already chosen my frames but Dr. Liao helped me decide between all the lens options available today. Leaving her office I really had a feeling of being well taken care of. Highly recommended!
If you're tired of robot optometry visits, give Valley Vision a try. The owner is also the optometrist and is walks you through from the beginning to end. She might have been trained in China, but she's friendly, caring, professional, and knows her stuff. Prices are dependent on your coverage, and frame options are not half bad.
