My baby was born with a vision problem and could not see much on her left and a bit on her right eye. I went to many - I mean, many doctors in OC - over 15, looking for more flexible approach that I know from Europe - I was looking for therapy, since kids' eyes are malleable. I found Vision Development and went with them. Today, my "baby" is almost 18 gorgeous young girl and she can see without glasses and only with a small support using a contact lens on her left eye!!!! She can 100% qualify for a small lasic correction of her left eye only and both of her eyes work in unison - not separately! It took some work and effort and thank you, Vision Development Center! You gave my child her eyesight, when 15 other doctors were telling me she needs thick glasses and a possibly surgery, if she qualifies - you said no, let's work on this! Now I know, she would NOT qualify for the surgery, if I went with other doctors and think glasses. She would be nearly blind by now. I can't say thank you enough to Dr Rakov and all the other doctors and vision therapists and team members - I wish your amazing practice to have many patients you can truly help and success! I appreciate you and what you do - you do not even know how much! A loving mother says: THANK YOU! All moms and other out there, struggling with seeing - I highly recommend Vision Development Center!

I had a very positive experience with Dr. April Spurling. From the moment I arrived, she took the time to listen carefully and made me feel like my concerns truly mattered. She was thorough during the evaluation and explained things in a way that was easy to understand, which I really appreciated. What stood out the most was her attentiveness and genuine compassion. It’s clear that she cares about her patients and wants to make sure they feel heard and supported. She didn’t rush through the appointment and took the time to make sure everything was addressed. It’s not always easy to find doctors who combine expertise with empathy, but Dr. Spurling does exactly that. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate specialist.
We used to go to Dr. Rakov for many years. She was instrumental in saving my child's eyesight. Dr. Rakov has recently retired and the Practice was taken over by Dr. Spitzer, who is an amazing specialist as well. We are happy to continue working on our sight and getting ready for a possible surgery. I am very grateful and highly recommend
Review from 2023 ZERO STARS Dr Rakov sold her practice so she is no longer affiliated with Vision Development Center. They don't have any pediatric optometrist available (check their website), the whole staff is new and seems they're changing constantly. What kind of clinic says, "sorry we're not seeing anyone at this moment and we can't book anything in the upcoming months because we don't have a doctor". So so so sad. If they don't have a doctor, how are they providing vision therapy?? Under what supervision?! I don't trust they're actually caring about the patients anymore. I contacted Dr Rakov directly and she was so sad and so apologetic for the change her old practice has taken (which she shouldn't have to apologize it's the new owners who should!), Anyway, since we needed to see someone ASAP, she highly recommended Dr Vincent Cano, so we now go there. Review from 2020 - 5 STARS Dr Rakov is the best Pediatric optometrist ever! And she makes sure you and your kid are at ease and taken care of!! Dr Rakov was recommended to me by THREE different places... The first one my Pediatrician, the second our Ocupacional Therapist and the third my own OD who actually took his kids to dr Rakov! These three people don't know each other, that's how awesome and highly recommended she is!!! Her staff, especially Flor go above and beyond - just like dr Rakov- to make sure you understand your insurance benefits and out of pocket expenses, absolutely LOVE THEM!!! Thank you thank you for all your help navigating kids glasses ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I lived my whole life without depth perception Am 59, after just one month of eye exercises, patching and a simple computer program two years ago I started seeing in 3D after being told my entire life it was to late to do. What more can I say!! Thank you Dr. Robyn Rakov.
