I always have a great experience at Mann Eye in Baytown. The location is convenient and easy to get to, the office is clean, and the staff is friendly. Appointments are quick and run on time. Dr. Hicks is great! She's kind, easy to talk to, and explains things clearly without all the medical jargon. I love the convenience of being able to set up my appointments online & fill out my paperwork prior to my visit.

I went in for my routine. I exam my doctor she is very gentle. She's so patient and she's very sweet. She discussed with me for the future that I should get further testing done just to checks for any issues that might be occurring. Basic eye exam would not find so I will give her a 5.She has an excellent personality and I would recommend anyone to she's very patient and coming and cares about her patients
Updated. An annual visit and Mann Eye was selected by me this year, within my annual VA primary care visit in Texas City. This time during my Dr's interview, I mentioned LASIK, because they have a sign on their door, 'Ask US About LASIK', in an examination room. And the conversation opened up to refractive lens exchange (surgery). A product, or procedure also performed here at the institute. A surgical procedure for people over 40, that replaces the eye's natural lens with an artificial intraocular lens, an implant. To correct vision problems like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and presbyopia. For patients over 40, The implanting of a permanent intraocular lens (IOL) can correct vision without the risk of regression over time. An alternative to LASIK which is a shorter responsive surface procedure of approximately two years or less. LASIK primarily corrects surface vision issues and does not prevent age related vision changes. It addresses Presbyopia and eliminates the risk of future cataracts. Previously. This business by appointment was selected for me by the VA clinic of Texas City, due to my choice of receiving a complete eye exam before the VA system could schedule me for a September visit, three months away. It was an option to have at the time I visited my primary care last month. The VA only covers the exam, so I'm rating this business on that choice. And not based on their optical center. The front reception staff, although knowledgeable, are limited in their ability to assist you with all of your questions. Besides assisting you with checking in or out for your appointment, they also handle your intake for reception by your exam and prescription issuance if by request. Unless you are a US veteran (military) as well. In that case, you'll be issued your prescription upon checking out in case you decide to obtain your one and only pair of glasses by the VA. It is unknown by me at this time that the VA will have me return here in 1 to 2 years for my next exam in the future. Based on their future scheduling and optometrist availability. And too, considering the reception here by handling your consent forms by obtaining your name initials and signature of your name digitally in person or online before admittance. They will provide you with answers or clarity about your situation if you are patient until they are able to get back with you, with your request and answer. In conclusion, Dr Tammie was pleasant and professional as she can be, in a public profession she holds together and handles daily business in Baytown.
Dr Hicks was absolutely incredible. She was so kind and professional. I really appreciated her demeanor. She seemed very knowledgeable too.
Mann Eye Institute is an example of a place where you get all the attributes of a great customer service. From the beginning the professionalism was top notch, the respectfulness I’m a disabled combat veteran being disabled it’s hard and they helped get through all the obstacles, the empathy they understand and related what challenges I can get and what treatment I can get to get better, and finally I’m just not another number I was treated like a person a human being. Thanks! A Proud Disabled Military Veteran
