I recently purchased my first pair of glasses from VisionWorks. The service team in this local store was excellent but after two weeks the glasses came back with an incorrect left lens. So I waited an additional two weeks for the correct left lens. After a month, I had the new glasses but noticed the lenses were much thicker than glasses I had in the past. So I went to Costco to get a back-up pair using the same specs. The Costco pair had much thinner lenses. When I inquired about this, the VisionWorks team told me their lab produces a thicker form of "high index" lenses than some other labs (e.g. Costco). In the end, this store has a great group of service-oriented people but the end product from their labs does not compare well with competitive "high index" lenses relative to their thickness. An employee at a different VisionWorks store told me this was a business decision by VisionWorks.
