I had an issue with my glasses and they needed to be readjusted and Norma from the Central Islip store assisted me through that. she was wonderful courteous and you should be happy to have her. also the rest of the staff, including the doctor was wonderful.

Staff was nice except for one guy, he was a elder man with glasses. He was quite rude, I told the girl in the front (she was really nice) that I wanted to do an eye exam for contacts but I don’t think she notified the doctor. After the exam I went to the guys table to wait and I told him I was in for the exam for contacts and he made me feel absolutely horrible for it. It wasn’t my fault that there was miscommunication. He then asked me if I wanted daily or monthly, and I had no time to think because he was already being passive aggressive and just really harsh with his tone, so I just said monthly. But later I was thinking about it and I figured daily would be better and I asked him if daily would be different and asked if daily was different and he looked so visibly upset. Mind you, I was only sitting here for like 5 minutes, there was no reason to be incredibly impatient. He then said “yes and I already told the doctor you wanted monthly or do you want daily or monthly because you told me you wanted monthly and i would have to go back to tell the doctor. I did not like that he was making it such a hassle so I just settled for monthly. I did not feel comfortable at all with his attitude and he made me feel like I was a child, I am a grown woman. I might just be short and look younger but you don’t treat guests differently based on appearance. And while I was waiting for my prescription and bill and he was just staring at me the whole time. Im not a big conversationalist so I didn’t mind the silence but, this guy just had a big staring problem it was making me uncomfortable. I would avoid looking at him and he kept looking at me. I even saw him eye down a couple up and down when they came out. Just very rude and judgy, I usually never have a bad experience here but this just really bothered me. I really hope they speak to him about this behavior or find someone else to do this job because never in the years I’ve gone here have I had such a passive aggressive interaction with any of the staff here. They’re usually very kind and patient.

The employees were very friendly and supportive. I would recommend them anytime. I’ve been getting my glasses filled by them for many years now.

From the moment I walked in, everything was easy. The whole process was quick and smooth, and I’ve honestly never had such a fast eye exam. Everyone I interacted with was really kind and pleasant. I usually go to the Levittown location, but there weren’t any appointments available, so I decided to make the drive. I’m really glad I did because it was completely worth it.

Eye frames were arranged by price and style. Easy to pick one out. Counterstaff and checkout staff were quick and helpful. I definitely recommend Central Islip store.
