Visionworks

This facility requires Digital Retinal Imaging (DRI) in place of dilation. Much friendlier procedure than dilation but to fully examine the eye both are needed. The charge is 10.00 extra, staff states all patients are required to get DRI. I went elsewhere and was not required to have either procedure. However I had both. Don’t force procedures please…if you do… include it in your standard exam without up charge.

Very happy with the new office location of DeLand’s Vision Works. The new eye doctor was excellent, personable and welcoming. The rooms are more spacious and comfortable. The optician, Aida, was so very helpful and knowledgeable, as always. Looking forward to receiving my new glasses.

I made an appointment for my wife online. It was nice it was available same day. My wife showed up at the scheduled time, and they stated they could not find the insurance in their system. (It is the same insurance we always use there, and they are on VSP website as our provider) She told my wife, I have other patients and she will have to reschedule as she booked a last-minute appointment. I called the store and was told the same thing. They had other customers waiting and could not help her!! I asked what we can do to make sure insurance isn't an issue next time. She seemed confused and said it was a last-minute booking, and they needed time for insurance. There is nowhere to put insurance information online when booking and it didn't say arrive early online. I asked if I could speak with someone there that can help me, a manager preferred. She said the manager is busy with customers and took my name and number. Solutions: Offer to let us proceed with the appointment as out of pocket as they look for insurance. Ask your supervisor for assistance as patient time is also valuable. Do not allow online bookings for the same day if it is an excuse not to provide service.

Wonderful and friendly service. All employees were kind and always with a smile on their faces. They were right there to help you. The doctor was amazing. He made you feel very comfortable. His tone of voice was very soothing.

We loved this place. Good attention and we were treated so well. Everyone was so helpful and we had a great time! They answered every question with respect and great information and made sure we had what we need! Definitely coming back and will recommend!
