I have been going here for years. I brought my child last month and Dr.G was so patient with him. He was great today to explain everything and he was so so kind! What I am not impressed with, the lady at the front desk. She is EXTREMELY rude. I believe her name was Katrina. When I called in to give my appointment to my son because his pediatrician recommended is was seen before he goes back to school, she was so rude about making a new appointment for me and laughed at me trying to scheduled. She transferred a the appointment to him but was like when do you want to be seen. It doesn’t matter, my son comes first When I went in for my son, I was told that the blue light coverage on the glasses was not covered under my insurance but when I went today, she stated it was covered. When I questioned her about the bill and what she was charging and doing, she kept just saying “well I just don’t know” and “ your insurance will just bill you” I tried to explain to her that I think I was over change the last time I was in, she was extremely rude. She doesn’t know what she is doing. I received a check from my insurance from My son’s eye exam, I realize now that she over charged me for a covered service on my insurance. This lady has been there forever. She has a horrible attitude and does not like to be questioned. I really enjoyed the doctor but honestly, the experience with her makes me not want to go back. Pretty disappointing they allow someone to treat patients like that.

As others have already shared. I really love this place as well, but especially the staff who provide and care for the needs of customers. Going in for an examination I met with Dr. Garhofer at Vista Optical. He was able to pinpoint an issue with my eyes, that others had not been able to identify. I also worked with Katrina Millang in helping me identify and choose more than one set of frames for purchase. After the examination, she took the time to provide a thorough assessment of what I needed. This included everyday glasses and those I need for reading and playing music. She was extremely helpful in guiding me toward the frames that were best suited for my needs both personally and professionallly. As a result I found and purchased the perfect glasses. I could not have found what I needed without her guidance and gentle clarity. Katrina displayed the highest levels of professionalism, knowledge, and expertise, especially in understanding what I was hoping to find in new sets of glasses, especially for reading and playing music. I highly recommend Dr. Garhofer, Katrina, as well as the other staff members, Cheryl and Suzanne who have helped me in the past, again at the highest levels of professionalism and expertise. Vision Optical is a place I recommend without reservation to any and all who are looking for the best in eye care in the city of Warrenton, in Clatsop County, OR. Dr. Michael Avila

The best eye exam I’ve ever had in my 20 years of having glasses. He explained what he was doing as he did it and what each check was for. He was quick but thorough and efficient. The front desk clerk was super kind and helpful when we found out my insurance was no good. Highly recommend. The only downside (which isn’t a huge deal) is that it is a small place and there’s not a huge selection.

I’m on a long road trip and forgot my contacts at home. I stopped by here to see if I could buy some contacts to get me through the trip. I explained my situation to the 2 ladies in the front and they discussed it with the doc. I had my prescription and was given a pair of contacts, solution, and case all for free! They truly made my week and my trip much better! Thanks again for being so kind and helpful!

Outstanding service, optometrist is excellent, and they'll fit you in his busy schedule if something of concern is happening. The optometrist does all the testing, rather than a tech. Exam and explanation much more thorough than opthalmologist.
