I am highly disappointed with the unprofessional experience I encountered with this practice. As a new patient, I scheduled my appointment weeks in advance. However, the day before my visit, I was informed that I needed to contact my insurance to verify a claim that I had not submitted. I explained to the front desk representative that I had never seen an eye doctor before and was unsure how this issue occurred. Despite this, I was advised to proceed with my appointment. Two hours before my scheduled visit, I called again to confirm, but I was given the same unclear information without any meaningful explanation. When I requested to speak with the office manager, I was placed on hold and did not receive further assistance. I expected more proactive and clear communication regarding my insurance well in advance of my appointment so that I could have resolved the issue ahead of time. Instead, I lost a day of work and remain without care, continuing to experience blurred vision while I search for another provider. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve communication and overall patient experience.

William at Visual Your Eyes in Greenbelt Mall is truly amazing. He is very attentive, always follows up with a call back, and consistently finds solutions no matter the situation. His knowledge and professionalism make every visit smooth and stress-free. What really stands out is his pleasant personality and his ability to remain calm, composed, and gracious—even when the place is extremely busy. He manages to keep everything flowing while making sure everyone is taken care of. William is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Thank you for all that you do—you are greatly appreciated!
This Visual Eyes, Greenbelt mall, is not good. They told me that they accept my United Healthcare insurance. Then they charged me the difference between what they wanted (retail fantasy) and what my insurance actually paid. Furthermore, the were allowed $150.00 for just the frame under the insurance, but their least expensive frame was over $250.00, so I had to pay the $100.00+ difference. Lastly, I just called them because the lens kept falling out and I noticed that a tiny screw that holds the lens tight had fallen out. I asked if they could repair it with a screw. They told me that the only way to fix it was to buy another frame. Goodbye and good riddance for your lousy policies that increase costs and worse customer service.
I absolutely do not recommend anyone go here. My family has repeatedly been asked to pay for things such as my pupillary distance (without it they give you an incomplete prescription that is useless to use anywhere else) and to pay for things they don’t tell you will cost you until you get to the end and they’re telling you the total. In addition, their billing department tried to charge my ten year old daughter hundreds of dollars seven months after her appointment there. For people on Medicaid who should be able to get an exam and glasses covered, this is unacceptable. If you do choose to go here, be very careful to ask them exactly what your insurance covers and whether you’ll get what you need.
. I visited this office, they recommended glasses for me and adjusted the glasses. As soon as I put them on, the mismatch with my eyes caused me a lot of pain. I took them in for readjustment. I visited several times to get them. They lied to me until finally I got tired of visiting and gave up on getting glasses. Even though they took a huge amount of money from my insurance at the same time and did not give me the glasses, now after four years they have sent me a bill containing a debt of 350 dollars. While they did not give me any glasses. And the same thing happened to my son.
