I'm reviewing the walking trail located behind the hospital and across from the restaurant. It's peaceful, views are outstanding, and no one was there! If you want a nice quiet place with some cool art pieces, views with an easy shady trail this is the place to visit.

was assigned “dentist” Kamille Torres roughly one year ago and at the first meeting she neglected to introduce herself. At the time I thought it was odd but I let it slide. Over the next 12 months I had seen her maybe 4-5 times for cleanings and minor cavities. During those appointments I noted that she was quite unfriendly and brusque in demeanor. She also didn’t explain details as much as I’d prefer. Recently, during an appointment for another minor cavity she berated me for “not flossing” even though I’ve told her that I floss every day. This wasn’t friendly advice, her condescending attitude was insulting to me. Then, she instructed the hygienist to insert a large, unfamiliar rubber device into my mouth causing me to gag and motion to immediately remove it since I couldn’t breathe. She quickly became impatient and tried to convince me to “bite down!” After noticing my discomfort she finally asked the hygienist to remove the device. At this point I was exasperated and requested another dentist. She told me there were none available. Since the filling was mostly finished I asked that she continue so I could quickly leave an uncomfortable situation. She finished up without saying a word and abruptly left the room. Since she never formally introduced herself or given me her name, I had to ask the hygienist in order to file a complaint with the director. In retrospect, I should have requested a different dentist after the first appointment, but I gave her a shot. Big mistake. This “dentist” hates her job and has no business caring for patients. She is uncaring and disrespectful.

I recently visited the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center on Farrington Highway, a key healthcare hub for the Waiʻanae Coast community. The campus operates as a comprehensive community health hub, seamlessly integrating primary care, specialty services, pharmacy, laboratory services, and social support programs all in one convenient location. The atmosphere at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is vibrant and intentional. The clinic caters to a diverse community on the leeward side of Oʻahu, ensuring a consistent stream of patients all day long. Even with that high demand, the vibe showcases a vibrant sense of community spirit. Numerous patients seem to be long-standing members of the community who depend on the center for ongoing care, and the interactions with the staff frequently convey a sense of familiarity and respect. From a patient experience perspective, the care model highlights the importance of being easily reachable. Facilities such as Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center are vital to Hawaiʻi’s healthcare landscape, offering integrated services to communities that may encounter obstacles to receiving care. Having various services available on one campus offers a level of convenience that truly enhances the experience for patients dealing with ongoing health requirements. Having explored healthcare systems in various locations globally, I often recognize when a clinic is deeply integrated with the community it caters to. Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center embodies a mission-driven approach to healthcare, prioritizing local access and consistent care over the expansive scale of large hospitals. Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center truly shines as a vital establishment on the Waiʻanae Coast, providing a wide range of medical services and fostering a deep bond with the community it supports.

Worst facility in Waianae, incompetent care. Specifically ER Newman, and General Medicine/Women's health Jennifer Williams APRN (white hair). Her and her administration want to bill bill bill for things that can be taken care of via patient portal like documentation for schools, work..etc even with recent appointments. I had just walked out of an appointment and forgot to gather my document for work, she wanted me to go back and be seen just for her to fill the paper out. I had issues at the front with my insurance I had reviewed a called spoke to billing months before my scheduled appointment. The front desk called me MINUTES before my appointment as they were unsure with my insurance. The insurance that had been vetted before making the appointment! When I showed up I was livid. I went back to see Jennifer APRN and she had the audacity to lie and write white coat syndrome after I had explained my BP was raised from the incompetency! She made it about herself somehow LOL. Talk about grandiose. Reviewing results, she wanted me to make a separate appointment for this and not review it while I was in front of her at a current appointment. My child was seen in ER and Newman was entitled, rude, and brushed off all urgent matters in my child's case. His attitude and disrespect was enough for me never to want to return to this ER. The entire campus would do better by firing everyone and hiring the right staff. Their pharmacy and lab are not even under the same umbrella as the healthcare there. So that means you will be billed separately! Laboratory was so unprofessional. As I was walking up with my child to get labs drawn there were two women on their phone, knew I was standing there and had me continue to wait two minutes until they were done talking and laughing about what they were looking at on their phone. There is no accountability at this place, everywhere you turn. When we went back the women were so terrible with my kid. This is a small complaint but not even kid bandaids in laboratory or in the pediatric department! This facility also messed up with our billing to bill us the max with inappropriate codes. If I was elderly and didn't have a background in this, I would have never caught it. I cannot imagine how many patrons are ripped off financially, left with bills on bills, as they commit insurance fraud. Do not get seen here, and run if you just established care.

Beautiful grounds and I have had good care from the services at women’s health and enjoyed the beautiful ocean views from the cafe on grounds that serves good food. My experience was a good one.
