They are the best!! They treat everyone equally & they are so nice & patient. They really seem to care about your health. I see Dr. Chang, she is so nice. The first time I went was at the Ohua location. Dr. Chang was there helping out. She usually is at the Makahiki way location. But she was so nice & easy to talk to. So now she is the only one I see. The Ohua location is easier for me, but since she is at the Makahiki location that’s where I go now. I am just happy that I found her! If you need a good doctor , give her a try, you won’t be sorry!! Thank you Dr. Chang for taking care of me!!! I really appreciate it!!

Very disappointing and unhelpful experience. I called Waikiki Health's Ohua location because I'm running out of my daily medication and needed to see a doctor to get a Rx for refill, but because I am unemployed at the moment, I no longer have medical insurance. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was told it would be $400 for an office visit. I was surprised at the cost, so the receptionist, Po, offered to make an appt with an insurance navigator before the office visit. I agreed to see the insurance navigator, however, the next available wasn't until June 18th. I told her I couldn't wait that long to get my medication, so I asked when the next available office visit was. Then Po told me they offer a sliding scale for charges, if I had proof of income. I asked her why she didn't tell me this earlier, and she loudly told me, "I'm telling you now." She then informed me they only make same day appointments and I would have to call back tomorrow morning to make an appointment for the following day. I asked her if she had any appointments available for today, then she told me she had 3 openings. I was so shocked and disappointed by Po's rude behavior and the fact that she did have 3 appointment openings today, yet made no effort to help me be seen today, I decided this was not the type of environment I wanted to be in, especially as concerns my medical health. I don't understand why Po couldn't have just offered to make an appointment for me today, then let me know they had a sliding scale when I asked how much the office visit would be, since I was upfront with her about not having medical insurance. That would have been helpful.
I came to the clinic weeks ago thinking I had one appointment scheduled, but when I got there turns out no more. I was pretty upset because I took time off and planned my whole day around it. One nice lady Malia helped me out. She was really calm and respectful even though I was frustrated. She explained that the call center is the one who schedules appointments and they not under her supervision. She even said I’m not the only one who complains about them. That already tells me something not right. She mentioned the call center is managed by the new CEO and the first thing that came to my mind was Okay so that’s why nothing improving. It feels like the mistakes just getting covered up instead of fixed. When I asked her how things been since the new CEO came in she just said same politics. So I walked out, I talked to a couple other staff members, they introduced themselves as Irlanda and Alex. I told them I'm one of the board member. They said they don’t know much about the new CEO except her name Mary Beth but their boss told them to be careful around her and she's good friends with management in the business office. I asked how they’re being treated, and they said they recently got a little extra pay, but they laughed and said it might just be a cover up because plenty employees been complaining about the company. It’s not really my business, but I care because my doctor and nurses are here. If the staff not being treated well then patients like me going feel it too. And now it makes sense why my appointment wasn’t scheduled in the first place. I hope Waikiki Health takes these concerns seriously. The frontline workers are doing their best, but the system behind them needs major improvement. I will make sure this is reported in the news and more patients should know about this.
Doctors are amazing the 4 starts are for some team members who are rude! Plus need more people helping with check in’s? Understand people leave or can’t handle the work load it happens but don’t have a rude attitude? Love this place cause it helps everyone and you pay a sliding scale depending on what you are coming in for for visitors in the USA and outside. It is not an er place so anything serious make sure you follow the evidence and 911.
Great neighborhood clinic! Kind and knowledgeable staff and physicians. Pharmacy on premises. Case management is available.
