Walmart Vision Center

Came here to pick up a new Rayban Meta Gen 2 prescription glasses. Was a pleasant experience. Deb was a great person who contacted my insurance provider for me to see what my vision insurance covers. Allison is very knowledgeable about what lenses and frames work together. Submitted my order on the 2nd was given a 10th delivery date and was provided tracking info and update messages. Advice: Since walmart isn't known for glasses not allot of people stop by which means you are usually served right away and after hearing that a few major places have Meta glasses on back order its nice to know it would only take a week. Minor issues: You can't use discounts and insurance you have to use one or the other. Usually not a big deal but something to consider during sales Major Con: It seems they currently don't have an eye doctor staffed so they cannot provide an eye exam but will take any prescription to create the glasses order.

Could you guys answer your phone? it rings for so long it keeps getting redirected to customer service who then tells me they can't transfer me I have to call the vision center-as if thats not what I've been doing.

Dr. Wilshire is excellent! She is very friendly, knowledgeable and patient to work with you to get the perfect vision with your glasses and contacts. I was getting an eye exam for glasses and contacts. The staff was great as well, finding out exactly when and how I use my glasses vs the contacts to make sure I have the right type of prescription for my needs. They also took the time to run all the different options with my insurance to see which would be the best rate for everything. Highly recommended!

The only good thing I can say about this place is in regards to the staffed eye doctor. He is pleasant and professional. He works at multiple different facilities so he has ran behind on many of my appointments but overall a good doctor. Unfortunately, due to the other staff members I will never return. There have been multiple occasions where I will stand at the front counter waiting to be acknowledge and all the staff members will sit at their desk (in plain sight of customers) where they will loudly gossip and inappropriate topics. On top of that, not once-but twice staff members have incorrectly processed my insurance information and have over charged me. Last time I was at the facility I was there for an hour attempting to get one 12 pack box of contacts that I called about a week prior. When I called the lady had said insurance would go through and I could pick up the box in a couple of days. When I did arrive the only staff member there said that she thought I was not coming to pick up the contacts so she gave them to another customer. She then proceeded to give my the wrong contacts that were already processed through my insurance. When I explained that it was incorrect she huffed and turned to go to the ringing phone, but not before rolling her eyes at me 🤦‍♀️😤

I got there and no one else was there. Eventually, 3 other people showed up and were slowly taken back before me. It took 3hrs for me to be brought back. I was told my insurance would help cover the cost of any glasses and I'd pay the remaining fee but, after my appointment which took MAYBE 15 minutes, they told me to chose a pair in the price range of my insurence and got pissy with me when I tried explaining what the lady in the front said and in the end I was forced and disrespectfully made to get glasses I didn't want and paid full price for another set. Then, I was told it would take 3 weeks for the glasses to be ready.. After I waited all that time I ended up calling them asking if they had them and I was told they didn't have any order in their systems. I called on a Thursday . They told me the eye doctor wasnt in and to call Saturday when he was. So I did, and they said he wasn't in again, that he didn't work Saturdays and to call Monday when he works. So I did, and they said he didn't work Monday an he's never worked Mondays and then she got pissy with me saying who would say that to you? I don't think anyone would say that because they know he's never worked Mondays. And then told me to call on Tuesday. Today is Tuesday, no ones answering the phone... Lol. It's an on going issue and the staff there are vary disrespectful. Some dress in normal clothes while others wear clothes that don't look clean.. I get it's walmart but, very unprofessional. It doesn't get any more unprofessional there! Even the eye doctor was disrespectful... ANOTHER YEAR LATER. I brought my family to this location twice. Both times we were treated with COMPLETE disrespect. I will NEVER bring my family back to this place. My child and myself were so disrespected. The same women both times was horrible. She’s an over weight, old, blonde with glasses ( not 100% on the glasses ). I will be getting her name for the review. I’m still in shock at how ignorant this women was. I’m 9 months pregnant and didn’t want the problems so I tried ignoring the situation and still thanking her... she gave me a disgusted, smug look face and walked away without saying anything back. My husband wasn’t there for the whole situation but knew she was being horrible to me so he yelled “you’re welcome”. I was completely embarrassed in front of the other costumers and my husband multiple times during one appointment.
