I brought my prescription for my glasses(From America’s Best, in Colonie) here because I couldn’t find any frames at AB I liked , I found a pair of frames I really liked, here at WVC on Altamont Ave,that looked good with my facial structure.. Diane took care of me and she was phenomenal ! She explained so much to me about proper glasses care, vision problems, and the difference between lenses and how each one worked, and how transitional lenses are supposed to work in the car or inside, which mine from LensCrafters wasn’t working as they were supposed to. She was very informative and in depth with her explanations. Something I’ve never experienced before when getting new glasses. I’m thankful I chose this vision care center. It might have cost me between $500-600, but that’s normal for my glasses, since I need transitionals, anti glare, scratch resistance and bi-vocals. No matter where I go, that’s the normal price for me. So I expected as much. I’m happy to be able to see now with the frames I wanted, and thankful for Diane, who really went the extra mile to explain things to me.

Not so hot, But silly me got sold on the transition lenses. They are ok but not good for working on the computer. They only work if you look out one spot. The generic glasses work way better. So that's 300 bucks out the window. I did go back to see if anything could be done The lady told me that is how they work get used to it. When I bought them, the guy never said it would be like looking through an hourglass. I guess why would he ? Who wants to look through an hourglass? The lady was pretty irate about it too like I'm supposed to know that. Pretty funny stuff.

I went to get my new lenses put in my glasses. The woman adjusted my frames that were perfectly fine without asking me. Now they are so uncomfortable leaving marks on my nose. I went back twice to get them readjusted and they still are uncomfortable. I'll never go back there. I couldn't be more annoyed.

My daughter's glasses broke & even though they were purchased in Latham, Rotterdam is closer to my home so my mother brought her there. They super glued the glasses "until she can pay for new ones", if they would have looked in their computer they would have seen they were purchased in December 2015, making them under warranty. Because they didn't do this I had to make another trip after a day at work. I don't shop in this store nor do I get my glasses or my daughter's glasses here because the doctor is not kid friendly at all. Next time I will surely take the longer trip to Latham for better service all around.

Train Up A Child Society, Inc.

The staff, especially Mr. Louis Schwartz, who provides excellent and efficient service. Not only did he assist me with picking out phenomenal frames but my order was done in a timely fashion. I love everything about Walmart Vision & Glasses, from the selection of vision wear, to the service, to those that serve the customers!
