Walmart Vision Center

I had a full eye exam appointment (including contact lens fitting) with Robert Fillion, O.D. at the Walmart Supercenter Vision & Glasses in Oneonta, NY this past April. It was a horrible experience! 1) Dr. Fillion only spent about 5 minutes with me, gave me some trial lenses for my right eye and didn’t even look at the fit after I put it on, let alone scheduling a follow-up exam! The worst part: He told me that if I was not going to wear my monthly lens everyday, I could stretch it to 2 months! This led to recurrent red eye in the following months (including getting puffy, red eye twice within one week)! 2) Although most of the staff were nice (some looked unfriendly, even snobbish), they made multiple mistakes while entering my info into their computer system (including name, birthday, etc.). So absent-minded! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Called and made an appointment for an object in my eye. Over the phone they tell me they can do it they accept my TWO INSURANCES! Not just one but two! Then I get to the appointment and they try to bill me out of pocket. This is how you treat your customers!? I was very very clear in my questions last night when I made this appointment! So now I’m out a day of work and a wasted trip. Will never be back. be clear about your policies because you’ve now cost me more than what the visit is worth. I’m not paying out of pocket when I’m already paying for two insurances so that everything is covered!

Very friendly atmosphere, liked the doctor, and VERY reasonable. Saved me a lot of money. Only reason I didn't give them a 5 star was because of their lack of calling back. I called about a doctor's appointment and they never called back. My daughter has called and talked to them about getting her contacts several times and they don't return her calls, other than that they're great.

Dr. Fillion and Anne helped us through! Both were amazing, kind, helpful, and professional. Turned a routine visit into something I genuinely enjoyed! Highly recommend this to anyone looking to save money on glasses!

Dr Fillion was very professional, personable, and gave a great eye exam. He found and diagnosed a condition that required me to go to an ophthalmologist to prevent blindness due to increased eye pressure. If you’re hesitant to go here for an eye exam…..don’t be. Great job, thank you.
