My insurance covered glasses for a certain amount and I chose glasses under the maximum cost covered.i picked my glasses up with no problem when they arrived at Walmart vision. I received a letter from my insurance company a few months later that said the glasses that Walmart provided were premium lenses and were not covered under my insurance and if Walmart did not notify me before leaving that I should not have to pay them. I then got a bill from Walmart for the glasses and started receiving frequent calls from their collections agency within a week of receiving the bill for the glasses. They don’t know how to properly manage insurance or what is covered under your insurance. Their billing process is invasive. They also gave my two daughters identical prescriptions 2 years in a row. They both received a prescription for glasses at -.5 in 2023 and after their yearly exam in November 2024, they both received another prescription for the same lenses. My daughters said they cannot see the front of the class with their new glasses. I believe the eye doctor didn’t thoroughly examine them but just gave them the same prescription as last year. I called and asked if a re-exam would be provided without paying as there is an error with their prescription but she couldn’t tell me if they would take a second look or not. She told me to come to Walmart to ask the same question in person. I live 45 mins away from Walmart! I have to now find a new eye doctor and pay out of pocket for a new exam and glasses for my two daughters.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Been getting past due bills since Jan. Everytime I call store, the clerk tells me I need to contact corporate. Corporate tells me I need to contact store. After 3 months and NUMEROUS calls and time wasted, I simply wrote a note on my bill for them to handle it! Long story short..Local store billed an insurance Co that I haven't even had in over 2 yrs, even though I gave her correct card at time of visit 6 months ago! I'm done chasing them. And done being called Sweetie & Honey by the clerks.

I would never go back to the Walmart vision and glasses..about a year ago I decided to go to this place and right off the bat, the lady who is the actual eye doctor was so rude and mean and actually made me cry. I had to have my partner come back to the room with me because she was upsetting me so badly. When my partner came back to ask if they could be in the room with me, the eye doctor said “UH I GUESS SO?” She was doing the eye test on me & seemed to have no patience when I couldn’t tell the difference between the first eye setting or the second. She made me want to leave as soon as I got there. Lastly..after a year of wearing contacts where I couldn’t see out of my left eye from my contacts AND my glasses, I needed a new prescription a few days ago so decided to go somewhere else (you lost my business with this woman) I was telling my new doctor about my bad experience and how it seems I could never see clearly out of my left eye with my contacts and my glasses..this new doctor did his routine and everything..come to find out that this entire time, the Walmart eye doctor had flip flopped my prescription on my left eye and I’ve been wearing the wrong prescription in my left eye. So I paid money out of pocket for my prescription, glasses and contacts with the prescription that she had written out and it was wrong this entire time as well as her just being down right mean and miserable. Don’t waste your time going there.

Male optometrist denied my relative a proper exam and lenses on the premise that they wouldn’t benefit from having something to aid their vision. My relative’s vision is far worse than mine and I’m nearly required to wear lenses for driving. The male doctor here clearly hasn’t had to experience how disabling poor vision is and how much it detracts from quality of living. If you need glasses, go somewhere else to get a more ethical doctor’s opinion.

One of the salespersons Cierra was unnecessarily rude and belligerent. She did not know how to do her job and wasted an hour of my time trying to figure it out. She may be overworked but that does not make it okay to take her frustrations out on customers. Incompetence is okay rudeness is never acceptable. I hope they teach her some proper etiquette as a salesperson. As for me I won’t be coming back.
