Left several voicemails to make an appointment and no one ever called me back. After 2 weeks of calling the DR.'s office to try to schedule an eye exam, someone finally answered the phone. The lady took my information and made me an appointment for the next week. She never once asked about if I had insurance or not. I took off of work and went to the appointment. After sitting there for 30 minutes, the lady behind the desk informs me that they are going to have to reschedule me because I told them I was a self pay when I made the appointment and they would have to verify my insurance before I could be seen and they could not do that today. I told the lady that I was never even asked about insurance and she proceeded to argue with me about how it was part of their intake process and that I must have told them that I was a self pay. I asked her, why I would have done that knowing that I have vision insurance. I called the MyEye Dr location in Silsbee and they verified my insurance right over the phone and made me an appointment. I never got to see DR. Ngala, but if the way his front office is ran is any indication of the rest of his practice, Ill take a hard pass and wont ever be back.
