Tried to order contacts for a month. Got a text from Walmart asking if I wanted to order contacts, I replied yes. I Never heard anything, so a few weeks later (I still had contacts but was close to running out) I stopped in to ask the status, they were never ordered. Jeff then claimed to order them immediately, while I stood there, he also gave me 5 days worth of trials (which was nice). Ten days later I called to see what the status was, still no contacts. Called a couple days later, they claimed to have received my right eye but not my left, odd they wouldn't just ship the whole order at the same time, they also said they couldn't give any more trials because they hadn't restocked them from when I was in 10 days prior, so they were out. This should tell you everything you need to know about how the employees run this location, you're out of trials????????? you don't keep plenty in stock??, you don't reorder before you run out???. By that time I was out of contacts, so I got a copy of my prescription and ordered them online. Got them in two days.........two days? I hold more power in getting a product than a multi billion dollar global corporation?? and I mean it isn't even close, more than a month VS. 2 days. There is a reason Walmart has the reputation that it does. I like the eye Dr. Ross Frandsen, I've been going to him for over 20 yrs., But I just can't continue to go there, the employees there just aren't on top of it, time to find a new Dr.. Side note if no one is out front and you keep ringing the bell to notify them with zero result if you walk towards the back where the eye exams are, you may find them in the room to the left sitting down talking and giggling, in most cases I've found the customer comes last here.

Called to ask about coverage of my insurance plan. The woman on the phone was not helpful at all and I was told she would give me a call back because she was dealing with patients. Just an fyi she didn’t even ask for my name or number before she hung up! I feel very disrespected and baffled by the professionalism at this location. One thing not to do is be rude to future patients and if you are busy place me on hold! If I could give negative stars I would most definitely give a -5 for lack of professionalism.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They broke my frames!! I took my $400 frames that I bought from my eye doctor in Illinois to this Walmart vision center just to replace the lenses, and then the technicians ruined them by overheating them and blistering the plastic. The new lenses that I ordered were not the right fit - the tech agreed that someone had made a mistake making them - and so they tried to jam them into the frames anyway and overheated the plastic trying to get the defective lens in. Further, the manager refused to pay me the replacement cost of the frames, claiming that “oh yes, well, sometimes that happens” and that the frames had “depreciated” and weren’t worth the replacement cost. We told her that if we were mowing someone’s lawn and we broke their window, we’d have to replace it, regardless of how old it was - and her response was “Well, windows don’t depreciate, so it’s different”. Wow… just wow. Solid lack of any sort of business knowledge there. In any case, I had perfectly good glasses that I had taken excellent care of - then I went to walmart to update the lenses, and now I no longer have working glasses. I will have to pay over $100 out of pocket to replace them even though the Walmart technician’s error is what caused the damage. This is both unethical and unprofessional and I’m, frankly, pretty mad about it. I get headaches from badly fitting glasses and this pair was adjusted perfectly for me. I cried half the afternoon after getting my glasses back. Even the tech I spoke with when I went back that evening (Jeff) agreed that Walmart ought to order the identical frames for me and replace them, but the manager (Jennifer) refused. I could escalate it up the chain and try and get someone to do the right thing, but honestly I don’t have time or energy to keep fighting with them - so do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else. You get what you pay for - and at this vision center, you won’t even get that.
First pair made wrong. 2nd try better, but not perfect. Came back later because they kept falling off my face, and the dude had the glasses in the back room for over 30 minutes just to make an adjustment. Came back out with them more loose than when I came in. Another 20 minutes. Same result. Never, ever, ever coming back here for glasses.
Jeff is an absolute gem. He is smart and knows what he is doing. He made this experience beyond the minimum.
