I am extremely dissatisfied with the Walmart Vision Center at Dulles Landing. I purchased glasses for my son that were specifically sold as scratch‑resistant. After normal wear, the lenses developed scratches, proving the coating is defective. Your team refused to help because it has been over 60 days. A defective product should not be denied service based on a return window. This experience shows a serious lack of accountability and customer care.

We ordered a pair of prescription glasses from the Walmart Vision Center at Dulles. This wasn’t our first time getting glasses from Walmart, and we’ve generally been satisfied customers. However, this was our first experience at this specific location, and it was quite disappointing. The frames we selected didn’t work well for us. They caused discomfort behind the ears. We used them for barely a day or two before realizing the issue and returned to the store well within the 60 day warranty period (in fact, within two weeks). When we arrived, an associate assisted us and asked us to wait for the manager, Melissa. The manager took the glasses out of the case and, without any careful inspection, immediately said that they couldn’t be returned because the lenses were scratched. We were honestly shocked as the glasses had barely been used. When we examined them ourselves, we didn’t see any damage. Melissa then took the glasses back, wiped the lenses, and realized her mistake. The “scratches” she saw were just smudges. She apologized, admitting they were simply dirty. While we appreciated the apology, it was disappointing that a store manager jumped to such a conclusion without proper inspection. She later explained that some customers try to return damaged glasses but that explanation didn’t justify her initial assumption. In the end, she refunded the full amount and apologized again, which we accepted. Still, it left a poor impression due to the unprofessional handling of the situation. Another point worth mentioning - during the interaction, both the manager and the associate were conversing in what seemed like Spanish while discussing our case. That came across as disrespectful, especially when the discussion concerned our product and return. Overall, while we’ve had good experiences with Walmart Vision Centers in the past, this particular visit at the Dulles location was disappointing. I wouldn’t say to completely avoid this store, but I’d advise being cautious and making sure everything is clearly checked and discussed in front of you.
I have been purchasing glasses for my daughter at Walmart for many years and no issues. You get what you pay for, quality is acceptable, prices are very cheap. Customer service has always been good for me, had to replace them twice and no issues.
I arrived 5 minutes to closing and the manager of the vision center still helped me get a set of glasses and lenses for my 6 year old that I just found out is dealing with amblyopia. She was very sweet and patient with him while he picked a pair of glasses he liked even though it was past closing, it dies take a few days to get your order in. only taking a star away because I read online that accept Medicaid (health keepers plus) but they don’t so I had to pay out of pocket which wasn’t ideal but I would go back.
I came over to tighten my frames. The lady over there mentioned that they wouldn’t be responsible if anything happens!! Come on - Without even trying or taking a look at it in the first place, she is right away giving up, which turns away the customers!!! Why does Walmart employ such people who is not confident of their job skills?? Pathetic experience!!!!!
