Dr. Catherine Rojas and her team at the Walmart vision center are not only rude but also clueless. Not only did the Walmart vision center fail to provide the lenses they charged me $40 for, but their incompetence led to my insurance rejecting coverage for my glasses. Despite having full coverage, their mistakes cost me out-of-pocket. Avoid this place if you value both your money and your vision. After my visit to the Walmart vision center in September 2023, I was shocked to receive a bill in May 2024 for glasses I thought were covered by insurance. They falsely labeled the charge as an adjustment, deceiving my insurance provider. Now, I'm stuck footing the bill for something that should have been taken care of months ago. Avoid the Walmart vision center at all costs.

After purchasing computer glasses I requested to purchase another pair with 1/2 diopter less nearsighted correction as my work monitors are large and far away. Dr Catherine Rojas refused to sell the glasses and recommended bi and tri focals, which I already have and explained wasn't ideal as sometimes I need to focus at 30" while looking up. No big deal, I went online and got the needed glasses which are great because everything 2' and farther away are in good enough focus. Rarely use the multi focals unless need to read very small print or read street signs at night. If over 45 I suggest reading reviews and going to another location.

I had initially ordered progressive lenses from Costco in Mt. Prospect, but they didn't take my measurements properly and the glasses were useless and dangerous to wear. Costco Optics manager didn't want to work with me to correct the issue. I then decided to visit the Walmart Eye Center in Palatine and what a difference. First pair of safety progressives came out perfect. Second pair had a small issue, but the Manager worked with me and the issue was corrected. My only concern was - not a large variety of frames, but you can bring your own frames. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! SUPERIOR QUALITY LENSES FROM NIKON! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION WALMART EYE CENTER! I will be going there again!

I’ve been going here the past couple years and it has always been an iffy experience. From giving me the wrong prescription of contacts, to hearing them talk about other customers as well as walking into the vision center and they were actively talking about me. This past time was the last straw. They are so unprofessional there and don’t seem to all be in the same page. Save yourself the stress and just go to another location

Scheduled an eye exam for a Saturday during the COVID Pandemic. Despite me giving them the wrong insurance info, they still got back to me and we figured it out. Staff was friendly. It had been over a decade since I had first been here and with the pandemic, the routine was different. Everything was clean and everyone took the proper precautions with COVID. I normally don't write reviews but I saw a lot of bad ones from years ago and I didn't find anything negative about my experience today.
