Dr. Jim is very friendly and knowledgeable. He saw my wife IMMEDIATELY for a potentially urgent condition despite having a busy schedule. We are very grateful and would highly recommend him for your next eye exam.

Honestly I’ve never been to such a poorly ran I care center. I walked in because I needed a new pair of safety glasses for work. Handed my prescription to the lady at the desk and told her what I needed. She took my information, pointed at the wall with glasses and said…..”all the way at the very end the first 3 rows are the safety glasses, find yourself a pair.” She never got up from her chair to assist me. Even after I asked for help. What a total disregard of customer service. Once I found a pair that I liked, I walked them over to her. She scanned the glasses and they were not compatible with my prescription. She looked up at me and said. “The frames are not compatible with your prescription, you’re going to have to find a different pair that fit the prescription.” LIKE REALLY NOW!!!!!!!! She offered zero help or advice. So I myself finally found a pair that will work. I’ll be going back to pick them up when they are ready. If this complete disregard of customer service continues, I’ll be filing an official complaint against them. Ohhh btw if any employee is reading this my last name is Smith. I’ll update this review after I pick them up.
Thank you Dr. Jim for rescuing me on Saturday with disposal sunglasses for my EBMD flare up while I was up north visiting family. They helped tremendously!
I have had great service in the past. I usually go to Cheboygan but I figured I would move my services to Petoskey. I may rethink this. I had ordered two pairs of glasses. My sunglasses came in first followed about 3 days later by my regular glasses, not a big deal. I went in to pick up my sunglasses on the day they got there a young lady (Emily) got them for me, handed them to me I put them on my face then she asked me can you see and I said yes! She then said "don't forget your case" and turned and walked away. She did not offer or ask if they fit okay. A few days later I went to pick up my regular glasses, same lady,(Emily) same level of service. I did stop her and ask her if she could do something since they were kind of sliding on my face. She took my glasses and said "yes, we just bend the frame down so it fits on your nose better" then proceeded to fold the glasses downward on either side of the nose bridge. She then handed them back to me and asked if that was better. I said it was the best I was going to get, she then said "don't forget your case" and walked away not offering to clean the fingerprints off my lenses. I got home and bent my lenses back so they were even and then adjusted the nose piece and the ear pieces on both my sets, cleaned the lenses and now I am somewhat happy. Anyway currently I'm fine I just didn't realize the service industry was falling apart this badly. Thank you though for giving me an opportunity to practice anger management.
I called this establishment 5 times in order to book an appointment, after repeatedly being put on hold (being told just one moment) for a total of 35 minutes, I finally drive there, still on hold. When I get to the desk, Carrie is very unfriendly and dismissive, as well as this she is sitting there not doing anything. I begin to speak with her (phone call still going on hold) and she puts a finger in my face in order to take a brand new phone call. After this we explain our frustrations and she begins to speak to us in the most disrespectful tone. After telling her she is terribly unprofessional and should not speak to clients that way, we decide to cancel our business there and ask for our prescription copy instead. As we go to walk away she makes some loud comments, which we turn to respond to (speaking calmly the whole time) and she decides she will yell at us to “get out” when we respond sure thing, she threatens us with security. The lack of professionalism is shocking. We have been clients here for over 10 years, and never thought we would be treated in this manner. When we return to see the doctor and get our prescription we are met with no apology, no explanation. The best I can say is we are given our prescription by the manager in a civil way, but there were no extra steps taken. With the plethora of jobs available I wonder why someone so inept in customer service would insist on working such a job.
